HumasUPNVJ – Referring to the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Number 433-480/UN61.0KP.01.06/2023 concerning the appointment of Prospective Civil Servants (CPNS) to become Civil Servants (PNS), UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ ) today, Wednesday (01/03), carried out the inauguration and oath of civil servants at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium.
On this occasion it was discovered that there were 49 civil servants appointed consisting of 47 lecturers and 2 teaching staff. The participants were inaugurated directly by the Rector of UPNVJ by taking an oath accompanied by clergy according to their respective religions indicating that the oaths taken were not only accountable to the institution (in this case UPNVJ) but also to God.
After the inauguration, the Chancellor in his remarks showed pride and at the same time advised the 49 civil servants who had been officially appointed. Dr. Anter Venus considers this inauguration and swearing-in day as an important and historical event for each individual who was appointed and also for UPNVJ itself.
Venus emphasized that as a tertiary institution, UPNVJ must support the state's goal of educating the life of the nation as stated in the preamble of the 1945 Constitution. Therefore Venus hopes that the 49 newly appointed civil servants, especially lecturers, must have intelligence, capacity and competence, and be professional, " We must continue to improve ourselves. You as a lecturer must be able to become a professional educator in your scientific field.” Venus said in her speech.
UPNVJ is reportedly implementing the concept of chess dharma where there is one additional obligation apart from the tri dharma of community service, teaching and research. One more thing that according to Venus is important to implement is dedication to the institution and making a contribution by bringing PIKIR cultural values (professional, integrity, struggle, innovative, and responsive).
As one of the campuses entrusted with the nickname of the state defense campus, Venus requires lecturers to become supporters of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. These two things must be part of their minds, including their implementation in everyday life as citizens.
Not only that, Venus advised all civil servants to prioritize excellent service because the main mission of PTN-BLU is service, “... In teaching, you have to be up to date if you need to use the very latest teaching materials. If needed, we will facilitate.” he said.
Finally, the Chancellor hopes that the civil servants who were sworn in today can become representatives of the state. There is a movement that can bring about even better changes, especially at universities, "I hope that all of you make this work a form of worship, make it a means of actualization, become academic leaders who have understanding in their respective fields." Close Venus continued by congratulating the inauguration participants.
