KEPK UPNVJ Holds a Webinar with a Discussion of Research Ethics Using Human Subjects in Multidisciplinary Sciences

HumasUPNVJ - Researcher is an important element in conducting a research. The main task of researchers is to carry out scientific research that adheres to the values of integrity, honesty and fairness. In order for health research and development to run well, a researcher should understand the insights of scientific thinking and ethical thinking regarding the topics and types of research that are of interest to him. As an ethical researcher, you must not only respect human willingness and sacrifice, but also respect and protect the life, health, privacy and dignity of the research subject. Experimental animals must also be handled in a 'civilized' ( humane ) manner so that their suffering is reduced as far as possible. The research in question apart from fulfilling the requirements of scientific excellence and in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration as well as fulfilling the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), namely upholding the respect, dignity and human rights.

All research involving humans must go through an ethical clearance process. Ethical clearance is an instrument for measuring the ethical acceptability of a series of research processes so that all research involving humans or animals may not violate ethical standards that apply universally but must also pay attention to various socio-cultural aspects of the community being studied. Ethics Clearance guarantees to maximize the benefits of research, and can help researchers avoid mistakes and misuse of research and scientific publications that lead to violations of the Researcher's Code of Ethics. Therefore, the UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Research Ethics Commission held a Webinar Activity with the theme "Research Ethics Using Human Subjects in Multidisciplinary Sciences".

The purpose of this activity is to increase the competence of researchers in writing research protocols according to good research protocol standards in research in science and technology, and social and humanities, as well as to improve the quality of research protocols according to research ethical principles.
