UPNVJ Communication Masters Study Program Extends Collaboration to Campuses in Yogya

HumasUPNVJ - Postgraduate Study Program (S2) Communication Science at the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) which is under the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) is expanding the tridarma cooperation of higher education with several campuses in Yogyakarta. This is in an effort to improve the quality of education through collaborative and strategic partnerships.

"We continue to encourage the need for partnerships and collaboration as an effort to spread knowledge about various subjects that are complex and continue to develop in the information society era," said Munadhil Abdul Muqsith, Head of UPNVJ's Masters Program in Communication.

Expansion of Cooperation between objectives can make a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) or follow up on PKS in more detail in the form of an Implementation Agreement (IA) between agencies. Some offers of cooperation include encouraging lecturer exchanges, curriculum benchmarking to conducting joint research.

On March 1-3 2023, UPNVJ representatives received an assignment letter namely, Dr. Kusumajanti (Plt Dean as well as Lecturer in Master of Communication Studies Study Program), Dr. Fitria Ayuningtyas (Head of Communication Studies Study Program and Lecturer of Communication Studies Study Program), Munadhil AM, PhD (Head of Communication Masters Study Program) visited three well-known campuses in Yogyakarta at the same time, namely the Department of Communication Studies, FISIP, Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta (UAJY), Cultural Studies Study Program and Media, Graduate School of Gadjah Mada University (UGM), and FISIP Yogyakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNYK).

With the Master of Communication Sciences Study Program, Public Relations Study Program, and Communication Studies Study Program under the FISIP UPNYK, they managed to carry out an Implementation Agreement (IA) to send lecturers to do visiting lecturers , this is also aligned with the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) 3 and 4 in semester Even and Odd 2023.

With the S1 Communication Science Study Program and the Communication Science Masters Study Program under the Communication Science Department, UAJY is still discussing the draft Cooperation Agreement (PKS) but basically during the discussion in general they agreed to collaborate on lecturer exchanges and research and community service together. FISIP UPNVJ also received input in conducting lecturer exchange collaborations and research collaborations with lecturers and students.

Meanwhile, with the Masters in Media and Cultural Studies Study Program, it is still in the exploratory period. There will be a continuation of discussions on further cooperation and agree to follow up on this cooperation further that will benefit both parties.
