HumasUPNVJ - Pondok Labu, 24 June - Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) and Siliwangi University have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in an effort to strengthen cooperation in the field of higher education. Within the framework of this collaboration, Siliwangi University carried out benchmarking activities at the UPNVJ Faculty of Health Sciences, particularly regarding the opening of the Public Health Masters Study Program.
The visiting delegation from Siliwangi University consisting of twelve people, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Siliwangi University, Ms. Dian Saraswati, S.Pd., M.Kes. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Ms. Desmawati, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat., PhD, Dean of the UPNVJ Faculty of Health Sciences, along with several officials and lecturers from the UPNVJ Faculty of Health Sciences.
During the meeting, Ms. Desmawati expressed her gratitude for the visit of the Siliwangi University delegation and emphasized the importance of exchanging knowledge and experience in the development of public health study programs. Agustyawan, SST, FT., M.Fis, Ftr., AIFO, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation at UPNVJ, highlighted the similarity of background between UPNVJ and Siliwangi University as private universities before becoming state universities, as well as their focus on the faculty of health sciences. Collaboration between the two universities is considered very important to take advantage of each other's advantages and share knowledge, experience and best practices in advancing the development of public health in Indonesia.
Mrs. Apriningsih, SKM, M.Kes, Head of the UPNVJ Public Health Department, gave an in-depth explanation of the successful process of opening the Public Health Masters Study Program at the university.
During the benchmarking visit, the Siliwangi University delegation interacted with UPNVJ Faculty of Health Sciences lecturers and education staff in discussions that went well. Various topics related to curriculum, human resources, and management of master study programs were enthusiastically discussed. Mrs. Dian Saraswati, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Siliwangi, expressed her high appreciation for the cooperation and friendliness of the UPNVJ Faculty of Health Sciences and hoped for further collaboration in the development of the public health sector.
UPNVJ and Siliwangi University are committed to continuing to forge beneficial and sustainable partnerships in the fields of higher education, research and community service. This collaboration is expected to be an inspirational example for other tertiary institutions in improving the quality and relevance of public health study programs in Indonesia.
