HumasUPNVJ - Today, 15 June 2023, the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) hosted the Working Meeting of the Deputy Chancellor's Forum for Academic Affairs of the West Region State University Cooperation Agency (BKS-PTN Barat). The meeting was held at the UPNVJ Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium and was attended by vice-chancellors for academic affairs from 18 campuses that are members of the Western Region PTN.
This work meeting took place from 9 am to 12 noon and was opened by the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Dr. Anter Venus, MA. Comm. This event also began with remarks from the Head of the BKS-PTNB Deputy Chancellor 1 Forum, Dr. Nizwan Zukhri, MM, who gave an introduction regarding the purpose and agenda of the meeting.
In this meeting, the participants discussed several important matters related to the academic field at the Western Region PTN. One of the main topics that became the focus of the discussion was Independent Campus-Based Students (MBKM). MBKM is a program that aims to provide opportunities for students to develop their potential and skills outside the campus environment, with the aim of producing graduates who have high competitiveness and skills relevant to the world of work.
In addition, the meeting also discussed the Permata Sari Program, an initiative aimed at strengthening research and community service in the fields of science and technology. This program is expected to encourage collaboration between universities and the industrial sector and increase the role of universities in supporting sustainable development.
Apart from MBKM and the Permata Sari Program, the meeting also discussed KKN Bela Negara (Country Defense Community Service), which is a community service program that aims to involve students in development activities in various regions. This program is expected to provide real benefits to the community and improve the quality of higher education in Western Region PTNs.
This event is an opportunity for vice-chancellors for academic affairs from PTN Western Regions to share experiences, discuss, and produce strategic steps in an effort to improve academic quality in the region. Through close collaboration between universities, it is hoped that a positive synergy will be realized in improving higher education standards in Indonesia.
In closing his speech, the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Dr. Anter Venus, MA.Comm., would like to thank all participants who have actively participated in this working meeting. He also stressed the importance of cooperation between higher education institutions in facing challenges and advancing higher education in an era that continues to develop.
