HumasUPNVJ - Today, the "Veteran" Jakarta National Development University (UPNVJ) is holding an independent selection exam (SEMA) online. In this SEMA, there were around seven thousand participants who registered to take part in the UPNVJ entrance selection. Participants were divided into two sessions, namely the first session at 08.00 WIB and the second session at 13.00 WIB. This is done to ensure the smooth implementation of the exam and provide a fair opportunity for all participants. (1/7)
The material being tested in SEMA this time is about state defense insights. UPNVJ as a university that promotes the values of patriotism and defending the country places the importance of understanding these matters to prospective new students. This material is expected to be able to measure participants' knowledge and understanding of the concept of defending the country and its relevance in the context of life at UPNVJ.
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. R. Dudy Heryadi, M.Sc., said that for this year UPNVJ decided to include aspects of the state defense test in the SEMA. In addition to the SBMPTN Computer Based Writing Test (UTBK) scores, participants were also tested on state defense insights. "We do this as an effort to ensure that the accepted students have competitive quality and master aspects of defending the country which is the basic philosophy at UPNVJ."
Dudy hopes that the students who will be accepted will not only have good academic quality, but also have a deep understanding of defending the country. This is in line with UPNVJ's vision and mission to produce graduates who have high integrity, patriotism, and national spirit.
In addition, Dudy also emphasized that all SEMA participants have the same opportunity. "So, there is no distinction or discrimination because all participants are accommodated according to the criteria for the SEMA path they choose, both academic and affirmative pathways." Checks are carried out objectively and transparently to ensure equal opportunity for all participants.
The Deputy Academic Chancellor also gave a message to the test takers, especially for those who took the SEMA route and the West PTN Independent Entrance Selection (SMM) route. “I hope that the examinees will prepare well and complete all the necessary documents. If there are difficulties, participants are encouraged to always coordinate with the exam committee to get the necessary assistance and guidance," he concluded.
Data received by the Public Relations team from the registration team, UPNVJ new student admissions, 3619 participants who attended took the exam for session 1, and as many as 3629 SEMA participants for session 2. UPNVJ assigned 84 supervisors in each session. By holding this SEMA, it is hoped that UPNVJ will be able to recruit prospective students who are qualified and dedicated in building the nation and state, and are able to carry out the values of defending the country as part of building a strong character.
