The UPNVJ Social Sciences Student Team Successfully Won 2nd Place at the 2024 UBL Documentary Film Festival

Public Relations UPNVJ – One of the many outstanding UPN Veteran Jakarta students consisting of a team of students from the social and political sciences faculty of the undergraduate communication sciences study program whose members are: Muhammad Abdan Syakuro, Nasha Aisyah Pranata, Muhammad Halbi Qastalany Syibli, Rainer Fansiskus Nockas and Ridwan Habibullah Al Basyit managed to emerge as the winner in the 10th Documentary Film Festival held by Budi Luhur University after going through various judging, winning second place in the Student Category.

This film festival marks a decade of celebration of extraordinary documentary cinematography. The festival consists of four categories - 60 Seconds Category, Student Short Documentary Category, Student Short Documentary Category and General Short Category - featuring 294 contestants of stunning documentary films from various genres.

The team from UPNVJ entitled "Bhinneka Tunggal Persija: The Voice of The Jakmania," stands out with its extraordinary story and in-depth exploration of the subject raised. The judges praised their dedication to the art of cinema and their ability to captivate audiences with compelling narratives.

The 10th edition of the Budi Luhur Documentary Film Festival has once again proven itself to be a platform for new talents, fostering creativity, and providing a space for filmmakers to showcase their unique perspectives on Indonesian culture and society.

This year's documentary film festival, which is a collaboration between Budi Luhur University and the Directorate of Film, Music and Media, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, presents enthusiastic contestations from participants reaching 294 documentary films from various corners of Indonesia.

In the Student Category, 110 documentaries competed for top honors, with the judges awarding the following awards:

1st Place: ISI Yogyakarta - "Under the Idhum Tree"

Director: Raka Satria Anugrah

2nd Place: UPN Veteran Jakarta - "Bhinneka Tunggal Persija: The Voice of The Jakmania"

Director: Muhammad Abdan Syakuro

3rd Place: Ars Universty Bandung - "Performer Line"

Director: Muhammad Ramadhan
