UPNVJ Students Participate in Inspirational Activities at the Ministry of Finance's Fiscal Policy Agency

 

Public Relations of UPNVJ - Academic activities for large class students of Public and Health Economics and Monetary Economics courses at the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) took place lively at the Office of the Director General of Fiscal Economic Strategy (SEF), Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Jakarta, Thursday, November 21, 2024.

The event, previously known as the “Ngonten Fiskal” program under the Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF), was attended by hundreds of students who took part in a series of interactive activities, ranging from social media challenges, Kahoot quizzes, to in-depth discussion sessions on government fiscal policies.

Inspirational Learning Moments

This activity aims to provide students with direct learning experiences regarding fiscal economic strategies and the important role of public policy in maintaining public welfare. Carrying the theme "Government's Strategy to Maintain Public Health", this event presents experienced speakers, namely:

* Ronald Yusuf (Policy Analyst, Fiscal Policy Agency)
* Irma Marlina (Policy Analyst, Fiscal Policy Agency)
* M. Ridho Mubarok as the host who presented the event with enthusiasm and interactively. The speakers explained the government's strategic steps in maintaining public health through innovative fiscal approaches, such as health budget allocation, subsidies, and strengthening the public service sector.


Interactive Activities
A series of interesting activities are held to create an interactive and fun learning atmosphere:

1. Social Media Challenge: Students are invited to upload their experiences during the event on social media with special hashtags, such as #JurusFiskal and #MahasiswaUPNVJ.
This challenge not only raises public awareness about the event, but also gives students the opportunity to win exciting prizes.

2. Kahoot Quiz: As part of the learning session, an interactive Kahoot quiz is held to test students' understanding of the material that has been presented. With creatively designed questions, participants actively compete to be the best.

3. Best Questioner Champion: During the Q&A session, special awards are given to students with the most critical and relevant questions. This serves as additional motivation for students to actively contribute to the discussion.

Award Recipients

The event also gave awards to students who managed to show extraordinary performance, either through participation in the Kahoot quiz or in the Q&A session. Here are some of the award categories given:

* Kahoot Quiz Champion
* Best Questioner The award recipient will receive a prize in the form of exclusive merchandise from BKF (Directorate General of SEF) as well as direct recognition from the attending FEB lecturers, Achmad Nur Hidayat, FEB Lecturer and Fadhli Suko, Secretary of the Development Economics Study Program.
A Valuable Opportunity to Learn More About Fiscal Economic Strategy


This activity provides students with real insight into the challenges and opportunities faced by the government in designing fiscal economic policies.

In addition, students gain an in-depth understanding of how fiscal policy can impact the health sector and the welfare of society in general.


Irma Marlina, one of the speakers, expressed her appreciation for the students’ enthusiasm. “You are the next generation who will take over the baton of managing the country’s economy. With this kind of enthusiasm for learning, I am sure Indonesia will have a bright future,” she said.

The event was closed with a fun photo session. Students, lecturers and speakers took pictures in the auditorium of the SEF Directorate General Office, creating a precious memorable moment.

One of the students, Roy, stated, “This was an amazing experience! I learned a lot of new things, especially how economic policies greatly impact our daily lives.”

This activity is a real example of how educational institutions and government can collaborate in creating meaningful learning experiences.
