Implementation of Focus Group Discussion at UPNVJ in the Framework of Preparing the Mechanism and Format for Reporting the Results of Absorption of Community Aspirations

HumasUPNVJ – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) as a strategic step in preparing the mechanism and format for reporting the results of absorbing community aspirations. The activity, which took place at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, 4th Floor, Rectorate Building, is expected to be a forum for academics, practitioners, and stakeholders to share ideas, experiences, and best practices in managing community aspirations.

In his remarks, Dean of the Faculty of Law UPNVJ Dr. Suherman, SH, LL.M emphasized that the main objective of this FGD is to find mechanisms, methods, and solutions that can facilitate the delivery of community aspirations effectively. "We hope that today's discussion can produce recommendations that are not only theoretical, but can also be implemented in practice to provide real benefits to the community," he said.

UPNVJ Rector Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm also expressed his hope that this discussion can produce constructive and applicable recommendations. "We want the results of this FGD to not only benefit the DPD RI, but also provide a broad positive impact on society. Let us take advantage of this opportunity to dialogue and collaborate for the progress of the nation," said Venus.

The FGD was also attended by the Deputy Chairman of the DPD RI, Tamsil Limung, who gave a speech and opened the event. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of this forum as a place to build strong relationships in developing mechanisms for conveying community aspirations. "The trend of the DPR's positive image is increasing, and we are committed to continuing to synergize and collaborate in developing regions in Indonesia," said Tamsil.

Furthermore, he emphasized that his party will continue to actively participate in activities in the regions to absorb as many aspirations as possible from the community. "We want to capture and understand more deeply the aspirations of the community in various regions so that the policies taken can be more targeted and have a positive impact on the future of Indonesia," he added.

The implementation of this FGD is expected to produce recommendations that can be implemented effectively in the process of managing community aspirations, so that it becomes a basis for formulating policies that are more inclusive and responsive to the needs of communities in various regions.
