HumasUPNVJ – An atmosphere of emotion and appreciation enveloped the FISIP UPNVJ Diplomacy Laboratory, when the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) held a retirement ceremony for Dr. Dra. Rr. Retno Dyah Kusumastuti, M.Si on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
This event is a moment to remember his long journey as an educator and to provide appreciation for his dedication and contribution to the academic world.
In his remarks, the Dean of FISIP UPNVJ, represented by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FISIP Dr. Fitria Ayuningtyas, M.Si, expressed his gratitude and high appreciation for the extraordinary contribution that Dr. Retno has made during her service.
"She is an academic figure who not only plays a role in forming a critical intellectual generation, but also becomes a role model for colleagues and students. Her dedication and passion will always be an inspiration to all of us," said Fitria, who is familiarly called Miss Fit.
The event was attended by lecturers and education staff. Several colleagues also conveyed their impressions and messages, reminding how big his role was in the academic world, especially in the fields of social and political sciences. The atmosphere was emotional during this session.
On that occasion, Dr. Retno Dyah Kusumastuti also gave a few words as a reflection on her long journey as an educator.
"Being part of FISIP UPNVJ is an honor and pride for me. I hope this faculty continues to grow and produce graduates with integrity and contribute to society," he said with emotion.
As a form of respect, the faculty gave souvenirs and a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Retno as a symbol of gratitude for her dedication and devotion. The event was closed with a group photo session and a friendly gathering that further strengthened the ties of friendship among the extended family of FISIP UPNVJ.
With the end of Dr. Retno's term of office, FISIP UPNVJ has lost one of its best educators. However, the traces and legacy of knowledge she left behind will continue to inspire future generations.
