Student Regiment Bestows Honorary Citizen Title on UPNVJ Chancellor

 

HumasUPNVJ – The Student Regiment (Menwa) of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) this Saturday, February 15, 2025, awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the Student Regiment to the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus.

Not only the Chancellor, the Vice Chancellors and Deans in the UPNVJ environment also received the title of Honorary Citizen of the Student Regiment.

The awarding of the degree took place at the dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Building, Faculty of Medicine, UPNVJ, and was attended by the campus academic community.

The awarding of the title of Honorary Citizen of Menwa UPNVJ is a symbol of recognition of the leadership, commitment, and national spirit that has been demonstrated by the Chancellor and leaders of UPNVJ in fostering and building a spirit of patriotism and national defense in the campus environment.

As a figure who has made many contributions to increasing national insight, Prof. Venus is considered to have succeeded in strengthening national values and love for the homeland among UPNVJ students.

In his speech, Prof. Venus expressed his gratitude for the award given and emphasized that defending the country is a shared responsibility that is not only borne by the TNI, but also by all elements of the nation, including the academic community.

"Character education and fostering national values are very important in forming a generation that not only excels in academics, but also has a high spirit of defending the country," he said.

The event was also attended by members of the Advisory Board of the UPNVJ Yon-6 Menwa Alumni Corps, Members of the Advisory Board of the UPNVJ Yon-6 Menwa Alumni Corps and various campus officials, who also provided support for the UPNVJ Student Regiment's steps in appreciating the positive contributions of campus leaders.

The UPNVJ Student Regiment hopes that with the awarding of this title, the spirit of patriotism and national defense will continue to grow among UPNVJ students and academics.

With the presence of leaders who have a strong commitment to national values, it is hoped that the young generation of Indonesia will be able to face future challenges with enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility towards the nation and state. (*s)
