In simple terms, book review is defined as an activity to re-express the contents of a book written by the author briefly and by providing suggestions related to the strengths and weaknesses of the book. Thus the book is written, explained by the author and commented on by readers and reviewers.
Taking place at the Persada Executive Club, Halim Perdana Kusumah, the event which began with singing the National Defense March began at 19.30 WIB. Present at the event were representatives from the Minister of Defense, representatives from the TNI Commander, Marshal TNI (Purn) Chappy Hakim, Marshal TNI (Purn) Dr. Murdiono Said, Marsdya TNI Wresni Wiro, Prof. Dr. dr. med. Frans Santosa, Mr. Mike Andy, Phd, Mr. Sutrimo Sumarlan as Expert Staff for Politics of the Ministry of Defense, Warek I and III UPNVJ, UPNVJ Deans and their staff and other invitees.

On this special occasion as well as celebrating the author's birthday on January 10 2015, Koesnadi Kardi expressed his gratitude for his increasing age and thanked the audience for witnessing the launch and review of his book entitled "Democratic Civil-Military Relations - Civil-Military Relations in the Era of Indonesian Democracy. Appear as a "surgeon" Dr. Ninok Leksono as Rector of UMM and Dr. Kusnanto Anggoro as an analyst from APCI (Air Power Center of Indonesia) briefly reviewed the contents of this book.

In his remarks read by the Minister of Defense, Sutrimo Sarlan said that the launching of this book was a unique moment in order to involve all components of the nation and congratulated the launching of this book. We hope this will be able to awaken the spirit of nationalism and be able to increase our understanding of the effectiveness between civilians and the military and have a positive impact on the nation and state in the future.

The second remark was delivered by Former Air Force Chief Marshal of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (Purn.) Chappy Hakim congratulated him, who said that he hoped that this book would be able to provide insight, understanding and new knowledge. Furthermore, it can be used as a reference and inspiration.

On this occasion, the author distributed books to the invited guests who attended.
