Lippo Group Achievement Student Assistance (BMB) for UPN "Veteran" Jakarta

LIPPO_1.JPG On this day, the handover of scholarship assistance from Lippo Group was held to outstanding students of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta in the amount of Rp. 150 million with a total of 30 UPNVJ students who received Lippo Group Scholarship assistance. This assistance is assistance that is given routinely every year by the Lippo Group to 10 State Universities with a total fund of IDR 1.5 billion.

In the handover ceremony of "2017 Lippo Group Achievement Student Assistance (BMB)" at the UPNVJ Rectorate Building Auditorium, the Lippo Group was handed over directly by Lippo Group President Theo L. Sambuaga to the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) represented by the UPNVJ Chancellor , Prof. Dr. Ir. Eddy S.Siradj M.Sc Eng., witnessed by all levels of the Academic Community and students who are prospective scholarship recipients accompanied by their parents.

The symbolic handover of assistance "Student Achievement Assistance" worth Rp. 1.5 billion to 10 tertiary institutions that have received assistance some time ago by the Founder & Chairman of the Lippo Group, Dr. Mochtar Riady to the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. H. Mohammad Nasir Ph.D, Ak.

According to UPNVJ Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ir. Eddy S.Siradj M.Sc Eng, The main criteria for receiving the Lippo Group BMB are students who have achievements at UPNVJ with poor family backgrounds. We hope that the BMB will add motivation to continue to make achievements and make UPNVJ proud.

"Assistance and education are a form of Lippo Group's commitment to the development of Indonesian Human Resources in all aspects of life. We believe that reliable Indonesian Human Resources will make a significant contribution to improving the quality of life of the people and the progress of the nation in general," said Dr. Mochtar Riady as Founder and Chairman of the Lippo Group.

According to Lippo Group President, Theo L. Sambuaga, BMB is given to outstanding students, especially those from economically disadvantaged families, in the amount of Rp. 150 million annually, for 10 different PTNs. The criteria for students receiving BMB are submitted to the Rector of each PTN because they are the ones who best understand the achievements of their students. The main motivation for holding this BMB is to improve human resources and help students to excel, especially students who come from underprivileged families.

With LG's BMB submission today, 70 PTNs throughout Indonesia have received assistance aimed at improving the quality of education, emphasized Theo.L.Sambuaga.
