HumasUPNVJ - Every May 2 is celebrated as National Education Day by all Indonesian people, especially for the world of education because it is a special day, namely the birthday of Ki Hadjar Dewantara, he is a hero who has contributed to the world of education in Indonesia. One of the ways to interpret National Education Day, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta employees and academics held a National Education Day commemoration ceremony which took place at the Dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Building Field (Faculty of Medicine) UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, Thursday (02/05) /2019).

Minister of Research Technology and Higher Education, Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir in his speech read by the UPN "Veteran" Jakarta ceremonial supervisor, said that in the life of a nation, education has a very important role to ensure the development and continuity of life. The development of quality education is also one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets to encourage the welfare of all people. So it is clear that advancing higher education is the same as our role in implementing the SDGs for the purpose of contributing to increasing the welfare of the Indonesian people. The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education raises the theme of this year's National Education Day, which is to create "Competitive, Innovative and Characteristic Human Resources" that are relevant to dealing with world conditions that are becoming increasingly complex at an increasingly rapid pace of change.

At the end of his remarks, the Menristekdikti hopes that all our efforts in advancing Indonesian higher education will receive the blessing of Allah SWT, the Most Compassionate and Merciful God.
