HumasUPNVJ - The process of selecting the Dean for the 2019-2023 period at the Faculty of Law UPN Veterans Jakarta went smoothly and in an orderly manner. The election was held at the Rectorate Building, Nusantara Room 1 UPNVJ, on Thursday (08/08/19).

The election of the dean is carried out by voting method by the senate at the faculty level. In this year's election for the Dean of the Faculty of Law, there were two candidates for Dean, namely Dr. H. Abdul Halim, M.Ag and Dr. Taufiqurrohman Syahuri, SH, MH.

Prior to the election of UPN Veterans Jakarta Chancellor Erna Hernawati said " Selection of officials or deans is an activity that must be carried out, each election has an impact on the institution, hopefully with a new dean it will contribute greatly to UPNVJ in the future " she said

The Chancellor also thanked the dean candidates for preparing themselves and being willing to give their commitment to UPNVJ "I thank you for being willing to take part in the candidacy for the dean election for the Faculty of Law. I really appreciate those who have provided their commitment to UPNVJ because in the current condition to become a leader it's a thing that is not easy. Becoming a leader at UPNVJ is not easy because the conditions are different from the previous PTNs, " he said.

The Chancellor also reminded that there are many demands and targets from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education that must be completed "We have been a PTN for 5 years and the demands of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education have also given us many targets, so it is not easy to become a leader at UPNVJ, because we must continue to evolve and there must be changes. which is very fast because the conditions of our students change rapidly. So, with these conditions, I hope that the dean candidates can carry out programs and achieve the university's targets. We, the university, will fully support all programs that will be carried out so that they can be carried out to the fullest, " concluded

In its implementation, Dr. H. Abdul Halim, M.Ag with 12 votes, followed by Dr. Taufiqurrohman Syahuri, SH, MH 3 votes. With these results, it is hoped that the elected dean will carry out the mandate properly and carry out the work program optimally.
