HumasUPNVJ - As part of the 2019 Puspiptek Innovation Festival (PIF) activities organized by PUSPIPTEK Kemenristekdikti, UPN Veteran Jakarta through the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) held a preparatory meeting for the 2019 PIF implementation in Nusantara Room 1, on Thursday (19/09/19) ).

Puspiptek Innovation Festival (PIF) is a festival aimed at displaying and sharing information about Puspiptek, its works and achievements. PIF was first held in 2017, and this year is the first year that UPN Veteran Jakarta has attended to present the results of innovations from lecturers and students. Puspiptek Innovation Festival (PIF) 2019 will be held from 3 to 6 October 2019 at Puspiptek Serpong Banten.

In this preparatory meeting the Chancellor of UPN Veterans Jakarta Erna Hernawati said "This PUSPIPTEK activity has become an annual routine and from now on we must always participate in this activity and especially for LPPM to include this event in its work program" she explained.

The Chancellor also said that this event should be used as a place to introduce UPNVJ's innovation results not only to Ristekdikti but to the wider community. This event will also add insight to the participants so that it will encourage other innovations which are certainly different every year. This should be the target of LPPM to support and facilitate this activity every year. And the leaders of both the university and the faculty are very supportive of this activity and we hope that in 2020 we can also deliver more innovative results," said the Chancellor.

M. Ikhsan Amar as the Head of the Center for Community Service and KKN LP2M said that there were 19 innovation titles that would be displayed at this year's Puspiptek Innovation Festival "We have collected data and there are 19 innovation titles that will definitely be displayed at PIF 2019. 19 These innovation titles were given from several Faculties, which include the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Computer Science and the Faculty of Health Sciences," he said when delivering the innovation title data.

One of the innovation titles that will be displayed is Sociogreen Apps and Gravote Apps , a representative from the team Herlambang Dwi Prasetyo from the Faculty of Computer Science class of 2017 said that Gravote which stands for Grab Your Vote is an application intended for general election activities with the aim of reducing election activities manual using paper " Grab Your Vote is an application that is used to make elections such as the election for organizational heads which is often carried out by UPNVJ, the use of reducing the use of paper in manual elections and reducing fraud which might be done easily when making manual elections" Herlambang said when interviewed

The main objective of the Puspiptek Innovation Festival is to invite the public to get to know and find out more about Puspiptek and its contribution to the development of Indonesian science and technology. Take pride in what has been produced and share stories with the surrounding environment so that they become mutual inspiration. Which in turn encourages the growth of a culture of innovation in society at large.
