Faculty of Medicine of UPN Veteran Jakarta and IDI Held the 5th International Webinar 2020 Series

Public Relations Team – Faculty of Medicine of UPN Veteran Jakarta once again collaborated with IDI held an International Webinar for the fifth time, which carried the theme of "Multidisciplinary Approach in Covid-19". The event was conducted online used Zoom and also broadcasted live on YouTube. The International Webinar was held on Saturday 18 July 2020, it was presented by 14 speakers which are competent in their fields. This event also attended by around 1.300 participants both from related circles and also from the general public. The 14 speakers who presented were:

The 5th International Webinar began with remarks by Rector of UPNVJ, Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA. In her remarks, the Rector of UPNVJ expressed his gratitude for the implementation of the last International Webinar to Prof.Dr. med. Frans Santosa and also to the speakers. The Rector also said that this webinar was a form of UPNVJ's contribution and commitment. "This International Webinar is nothing but a contribution of UPN Veteran Jakarta to participate in developing special knowledge in the field of medicine to students and lecturers". "And of course it is our commitment that we as university will always contribute to other event such as webinars." The Rector also sent a request to all speakers to continue the positive relations to be able to assist UPNVJ in the next webinar events in the future.

After the opening remarks from Rector of UPNVJ, the event was then continued with the second remarks, by Dr. Broto Wasisto. In his speech, besides he welcomed the speakers and the participants, Dr. Broto Wasisto emphasized that the cure for Covid-19 pandemic is not found yet and it still being researched by the experts. Dr. Broto Wasisto conveyed "In this afternoon we will listen to the scientific arguments or analysis from the speakers who are experts in the field of Covid-19, we are very fortunate that we can get so much experts who are willingly to present in this webinar". By closing his remarks, Dr. Broto Wasisto expressed his gratitude to UPNVJ, especially to Prof. Dr. med. Frans Santosa.

The 5th International Webinar, which was presented by 14 speakers, was started with a presentation by Prof. Dr. med. Frans Santosa who delivered the theme of "Important Considerations in COVID-19 Patients". At the beginning of the presentation, Dr. Frans explained "Covid-19 was previously known to only attack the lungs like SARS disease earlier in 2013. But in reality it was wrong, because Covid-19 in fact could attack all organs which means could cause organ failure".

Prof. Dr. med. Frans Santosa also analysed that until this moment, covid-19 had more attacks on older men that suffered from other diseases such as Diabetes. This was explained by Prof. Dr. med. Frans Santosa due to an additional diseases could be dangerous, such as chronic Diabetes have weak Erythrocytes. Prof. Dr. med. Frans Santosa also demanded in the closing of his presentation, with the Take-Home Message to all participants to make efforts to prevent covid-19 such as exercise and sunbathe for about 30 minutes between 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

The second presentation was brought by Dr. Broto Wasisto with theme "MKEK Fatwa Regarding to COVID-19". He delivered several discussions of the MKEK Fatwa such as fatwa about medical secrets, doctor's safety, medical certificate, the treatment for Covid-19’s corpse, new drug claims and also health advertisements. In his presentation, Dr. Broto Wasisto also said that recently there was a request to release a statement of person that tested positive/negative from Covid-19, which in the MKEK fatwa the doctor could not easily released such an evidence regarding the issue during this pandemic.

Closing his presentation related to the doctor's certificate, Dr. Broto conveyed the urgency of education to government institutions in the issuance of the medical certificate. "Therefore, education is needed to government and private institutions regarding the request for a medical certificate, and the inspection for the needs of quarantine and government officials".

The third presentation was led by Prof. Dr. Eva Suarthana who presented the theme of "iCARE Global Study: Interventional Assessment of COVID-19 Related Attitudes Concerns, Responses, and Impacts in Relation to Public Health Policies". In her presentation, Prof. Dr. Eva Suarthana, presented the results of the iCare study that has been carried out in 50 countries. In the beginning of her presentation, Prof. Dr. Eva Suarthana, mentioned that until now there has not been found a vaccine and legitimate drug for Covid-19, and the study of iCare aims to provide recommendations based on data that obtained from local and international governments.

Added by Prof. Dr. Eva Suarthana, the iCare study used a sampling method on the Continent as well as several countries including Indonesia. From the results of the study conducted, which in phase 1 from March to April, it was found that the majority of respondents filled the questionnaire were women with an average age of 41 years old, and it was collected from 50 countries, the questions related to government policies that most of youth stated their government policies, such as in the Brazil, it was still too weak. Closing her presentation, Prof. Dr. Eva Suarthana, gave a summary that about 75% of people followed the main preventative measures such as washing hand and social distancing, and also Prof. Dr. Eva Suarthana recommended the public health message should be better if it contained a positive message such as if people obeyed the regulations it would be very helpful for the national economy turned into normal again rather than created a threatening message with penalties.

The next presentation was continued by Prof. Dr. med. Dr. Ito Puruhito who delivered the theme "Medico-Socio-Cultural Implication of COVID-19 Pandemic for Surgical Services in Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Disease". Prof. Dr. med. Dr. Ito Puruhito explained the implications of the Socio-Cultural Medico in the Covid-19 pandemic, namely the global impact such as that 11.5 million people were affected by Covid-19 and 550,000 people had died due to this pandemic, which led to a decline in labor and socio-cultural problems. He also mentioned that doctors and PDS were also affected by the reduced intensity of the education program which led to the downgrade of service quality.

In his presentation, Prof. Dr. med. Dr. Ito Puruhito also said that health services in the service of non-communicable diseases has been disrupted since the pandemic began, it was acknowledged from a WHO survey. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. med. Dr. Ito Puruhito also said that there was a change in the relationship between health workers such as the absence of scientific meetings or face-to-face congresses. Closing his presentation, Prof. Dr. med. Dr. Ito Puruhito said that all specialists in the field of surgery were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, which is why Triage was needed to determine the urgency of surgical services and such surgeons must be able to adapt with new management guidelines.

The event then continued with exposure from the 5th speakers, which was Prof. Dr. Ilham Oetama Marsis, he delivered the theme "Diagnostics and Management of Pregnancy and Childbirth regarding COVID-19". Prof.Dr. Ilham Oetama Marsis discussed several things in his presentation such as the incidence in the world population on July 1, 2020, and it was acknowledged there were already around 10 million cases and the highest was in The United States of America. Besides that, Prof. Dr. Ilham Oetama Marsis, also conveyed the incidence of pregnancy in the USA, there were approximately 10,537 cases and in Indonesia itself, there were 20 cases that occurred in Surabaya.

In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Ilham Oetama Marsis, also explained that there are no different symptoms between general and pregnant cases, there are several symptoms such  as breathlessness and cough which also experienced in most of Covid-19 symptoms. In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Ilham Oetama Marsis conveyed the management of pregnancy and childbirth during the Covid-19, it was understandable that routine examinations or antenatal routine care are needed. In closing his presentation, he concluded that one of the prevention efforts to limit the transmission could be done with self-isolation and also washing hand properly.

After the presentation by the 5th speakers, the International Webinar continued by several other speakers who discussed different yet so intriguing themes including, "The Role of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine in the Pandemic Era COVID-19" by Prof. DR. Dr. Budhi Setianto SpJP (K), FIHA. "Understanding Medical Morality during Pandemic COVID-19" by Prof. Dr. Syamsuhidayat, SpB. "Radiation Exposure and Risk for Patients in CT of COVID-19 Patients and Possibilities for Dose Reduction" by Prof.Dr.med. Nico Santosa Hidayat, who is MD Radiologe und Dipl. Mathematiker. Peine, Germany. "Out-patient Procedure for Structure of Heart Disease in COVID-19 Pestilence" by Prof. Xiangbin Pan "Cardiovascular Comorbidity in COVID-19 Pandemic" by Prof. DR. Dr. Reggy L. Lefrandt, SpJP (K), FIHA, FSGC, FAHA, FAsCC, FICA "COVID-19 and long-term Consequences" by Prof.Dr.med.Knut Kröeger, MD, EFMA, FACA, FICA, FASA, SFGISA who is an Internist, Angiologist und Sport Mediziner. Krefeld, Germany. "Cardiovascular Disease in the Pandemic Period COVID-19: what should be considered?" by Prof. DR. Dr. Harmani Kalim, SpJP (K), FIHA. "Acid Related Disease in COVID-19 Era" by Prof. DR. Dr. Ari Fahrial Syam, SpPD-KGEH. And the last presentation brought the theme "Traditional Health and COVID-19" by Prof. Dr. Dr. Agus Purwadianto, SH, M.Sc, SpF (K).

The 5th International Webinar series ended at 05:00 PM and closed by Prof. Dr. med. Dr. Frans Santosa as the moderator and also the speaker, accompanied by Dr. Broto Wasisto, who expressed his gratitude for the implementation of the 5h International Webinar series by UPNVJ, and also to all of speakers and participants who have been joined and followed the entire series of The International Webinar.

Menutup paparannya terkait surat keterangan dokter, Dr broto menyampaikan perlunya edukasi ke lembaga pemerintahan dalam aturan pengeluaran surat keterangan dokter. “Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya edukasi kepada institusi pemerintah maupun swasta tentang permintaan surat keterangan dokter, dan pemeriksaan untuk kebutuhan karantina dan petugas pemerintahan.”

Dalam paparannya, Prof.Dr. Ilham Oetama Marsis, juga memaparkan bahwa tidak terjadi gejala yang berbeda antara yang orang hamil dan umum, bahwa terdapat gejala seperti sesak nafas dan batuk yang juga dialami pada gejala Covid 19 lainnya. Dalam paparannya, Prof.Dr. Ilham Oetama Marsis, juga menyampaikan manajemen kehamilan dan persalinan pada masa covd 19, bahwa diperlukan pemeriksaan seperti Antenatal rutin atau umum. Dalam penutup paparannya, kesimpulan yang disampaikan oleh Prof.Dr. Ilham Oetama Marsis bahwa salah satu upaya atau pencegahan ialah pencegahan transmisi yang dapat dilakukan dengan adanya isolasi mandiri, dan juga mencuci tangan dengan baik dan benar.
