Public Relations Team - Great news comes from the Nutrition Study Program of UPN Veteran Jakarta. Ibnu Malkan Bakhrul Ilmi and Muhammad Nur Hasan Syah are the lecturer in the Nutrition Study Program Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) UPN Veteran Jakarta, they were won second place in the second event of Social Model Entrepreneur Innovathon (SEMETHON II).

The Transform Institute of NTB in collaboration with the SNV Netherlands Development Organization and the Creative Hub of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Gajah Mada University are the coordinator that organized this prestigious event which followed by participants from many universities from all over Indonesia.

The SEMETHON II competition, which was held on July 7 to July 13, 2020, aims to contribute to solve the social problems, especially in the food security and nutrition issues.

Head of the Nutrition Study Program, Taufik Maryusman, delivering a report to the public relations team about there were two great lecturers from the Nutrition Study Program of Faculty Of Health Sciences of UPNVJ that compete in this such a reputable event, Ibnu Malkan Bakhrul Ilmi and Muhammad Nur Hasan Syah won the second place in this competition, they were affiliated as a member of the "Makan Baik" team.

"The team carries an idea that wants to connect the community with nutritious food and beverage products. Collaborating with "Makan Baik", a nutritional social entrepreneur, which the founder itself is Muhammad Nur Hasan Syah" explained Taufik.

Taufik said "by initiating the first nutritional marketplace model in Indonesia, which was named GIZIHUB. This idea was chosen to become the 30 SEMETHON II’s semifinialists from 70 participants who followed this event, before entering the Grand Final round, 30 teams were provided with basic training in social entrepreneurship. After passing the pitching phases, the "Makan Baik" team was chosen to be one of the 6 finalists. After going through the presentation at the grand final, the judges decided the "Makan Baik" team are qualified enough to win the second place in this competition".

Taufik feels proud of this great achievement, with the cooperation and collaboration of this incredible nutrition team, the hard work finally paid off.

"This is a very proud achievement, not only for the “Makan Baik" team, but also for the entire academic community of UPN Veteran Jakarta. The judges also believe that GIZIHUB is truly a unique idea, which combining aspects of nutrition, social and business and incorporates technological advances in it. The judges also hopes that GIZIHUB does not stop at this competition" expressed Taufik when delivering his report.

According to Ibnu who is also the team leader, the realization of GIZIHUB needs the support of many parties including UPN Veteran Jakarta. There are still many shortcomings of GIZIHUB that need to be improved. Ibnu also hopes that GIZIHUB becomes a Leading Nutrition Innovation with the tagline of Bridging the Nutrition Gap.
