The PROSPEKTIV 2020 program will thoroughly examine Complex Problem Solving and Decision Making with Hj. Neneng Athiatul Faiziyah, S.Ag., M.Ikom on Saturday (12/12/20).

Interactive activities carried out online with Hj. Neneng Athiatul Faiziyah, S.Ag., M.Ikom, who is a communication practitioner, was attended by approximately 1,780 new students at UPN Veteran Jakarta, UPN Veteran East Java, UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, University of Palangkaraya and students at Nusa Cendana University.

In the initial discussion Hj. Neneng Athiatul Faiziyah, who is usually called Neneng, emphasizes the top 10 skills in 2020, namely complex problem solving, critical thinking. Creativity, people management, coordinating with others, emotional intelligence, judgment and decision making, service orientation, negotiation, and cognitive flexibility .

There are only two types of problems, namely simple problems and complex problems, with existing problems, do the right decision-making process, the initial stage can be to investigate the situation, then develop alternatives, don't be in a hurry to evaluate, then evaluate and finally carry out the decision and take follow-up. . By making the right decisions, problems are solved, questions are answered, and performance continues.

There are three parts involved in a person's decision-making process, namely the brain based on knowledge, feelings formed also by the brain, and instincts based on someone's difficult intuition.

Neneng also explained the seven stages of decision-making effectiveness, namely identification, information search, identification of alternatives made, considering the evidence, selecting existing alternatives, making or choosing decisions, viewing and reassessing the decisions taken.

Barriers to decision-making, there are obstacles in determining problems that are sometimes confused with the real problems we face and there are obstacles in choosing solutions to solve problems, we are definitely faced with many alternative solutions to taking the problem.

Not only that, in making the decisions we make, we definitely want other people to have the same perception. Here are five pointers for improving perception by being aware of our perceptual inaccuracies, having the desire to change our inaccurate perceptions, providing sufficient time to do perceptual good for ourselves or others, talk to the people we want to perceive and don't make quick decisions .

Another way of making decisions is mind mapping, developing thoughts from all directions, capturing various thinking activities from various angles. Here, Neneng asked the participants how to make a mind map using the available stationery. It is useful to provide an overall view of a broad subject or area, plan routes or make choices about where to go and where we are, and encourage problem solving by letting us see the path of creative breakthroughs.

In her closing statement, Neneng said "for students to be careful with thoughts because they can become words, be careful with words because they can become actions, be careful with actions because they can become habits, be careful with habits because they can become character and character, be careful with character and character because it determines our future destiny, "he said.
