HumasUPNVJ - As we know, the Covid-19 pandemic is not over, students as agents of change are expected to be able to work, think critically, innovate and also excel in this situation.

Therefore, UPN Veteran Jakarta students were able to prove that they were part of the Age of Change. It can be seen that this year UPNVJ students have made achievements several times, such as this February one of the UPNVJ Faculty of Social and Political Science students, Rima Adriyani from the 2017 Communication Science program managed to win 1st place in the Formal Master of Ceremony (MC) Competition organized by the Buana Protocol Student Activity Unit (UKM) of Galuh University. This event is an annual routine event organized by UKM Buana Protocol at the East Priangan level. However, because 2021 is during the COVID-19 pandemic, the activities are open to the public on a national scale. And apart from that, this activity was carried out online , participants posted their work on Instagram TV from January 25 to February 2, 2021, and announced via the zoom meeting platform in a workshop held by UKM Buana Protocol.

According to Rima's explanation when interviewed by the UPNVJ Public Relations team, there were around 20 participants who took part in the competition, including from UIN SGD Bandung, Siliwangi University, Indonesian University of Education, UNIKU Cirebon, UNIGAL students and the general public.

Rima also shared a lot about her experience in participating in this activity to the PR team, "I took part in this activity of course with the intention to develop my skills in Public Speaking , especially in the field of MC. Actually, the preparation that I did was not so much because the MC script that the participants had to present had already been provided by the committee, so I only prepared myself with practice, so that the presentation was correct, moreover this was a Formal MC which had to be delivered using the appropriate technique and I also had to try. understand what the program is like in the script so you don't read a lot when shooting the video". Said Rima

"If asked about the ups and downs in participating in this activity, there must be yes. The grief was because there was only one day of preparation so there wasn't much time for rehearsals, but the grief made everyone happy, because I really enjoyed doing it since MCing is my hobby too.” he continued

Rima hopes that other #belanegara friends can continue to make their hobby an effort to achieve achievements and progress for themselves, especially, generally for many people.

"A message for friends, even though we are still in the Covid - 19 pandemic, that is not an obstacle for us to continue to excel. Don't be afraid to try, take advantage of the potential that is within us, we can develop anything while we are willing to try it. Close it.
