HumasUPNVJ - As we know, character education in tertiary institutions has a very important role in the effort to create graduates who are able to face various dynamics of life's challenges that are increasingly complicated and challenging, while still prioritizing noble character or character. Seeing this, the National Development University Jakarta Veterans held a Webinar Series Trainer of Pancasila and Citizenship Training which was held online via a zoom meeting platform , Monday 5 July 2021.
This national webinar activity was filled with great presenters including Prof. Kaelan as a professor at Gajah Mada University, Dr. Yudhi Latif, author of a book, observer of Pancasila and nationalism, and many other presenters.
Also present was the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Erna Hernawati who also gave a speech at the beginning of the activity, in her speech she hoped that activities like this would have a very visible output , namely the character building of UPNVJ students, "I consider this activity very necessary because it is related to our campus. for the character building of our students. The goal of our education is to have intelligence and good morals, and this goal is also very much in line with UPNVJ's vision and mission. I hope that all of us as lecturers will be able to provide values that can be applied properly, besides that hopefully we can produce breakthroughs or creative learning models in accordance with the current 4.0 era while still having a spirit of nationalism. Erna explained.
Anter Venus as the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs also gave directions regarding character building, "Character education takes a long time, requires ethics, morals and commitment which of course later has to have a good impact on our nation". he said
The TOT Pancasila and Citizenship webinar series began with a presentation session by Prof. Kaelan, UGM Professor by providing material with the theme of Pancasila as a Philosophical System and continued with material from Dr. Yudhi Latif as the author of the book and Observer of Pancasila and Nationality related to Indonesia's Geopolitics and Geostrategy.
