HumasUPNVJ - National Education Goals in Law no. 20 of 2003 article 1 paragraph 1 states that "Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills that are it is necessary for himself, the community, the nation and the state, to see the goals of national education itself, the Jakarta Veterans National Development University continuously strives to realize the goals of national education so that they can be achieved properly. Similar to last week's activities, the UPNVJ Learning Development and Quality Assurance Institute again held a State Defense Trainer of Training which was held via a zoom meeting platform and was attended by approximately 80 MKWU lecturers who participated, coming from three UPN Veterans (UPN Veteran Jakarta, UPN East Java Veterans and UPN Veterans Yogyakarta), Monday 12 July 2021.

Erna Hernawati as the Chancellor of UPNVJ started the activity by giving remarks as well as directions to all webinar participants, "This National Defense TOT event or activity is not merely to find out what state defense is all about, because I myself believe that all of the lecturers are very qualified. in the scientific field related to MKWU, but how can this concept of defending the country be transferred properly and effectively to our students in accordance with existing national education goals? he said

UPNVJ presented retired TNI Lieutenant General Agus Widjoyo as the Governor of Lemhanas RI who then explained material related to State Defense Values. In his presentation, Agus discussed the meaning of defending the country in accordance with what the President of the Republic of Indonesia has conveyed, "Defending the State has a very broad spectrum in various fields of life, starting from politics, economy, social and culture. Defending the State can be carried out by every citizen which is realized in daily life according to their role and profession. Obviously

Furthermore, Lieutenant General. Agus explained that Defending the Country is not only the duty of the army but the duty of all citizens, defending the country is an idea that is national in scope and leads to efforts to love the motherland.

"Defending the Country does not only use weapons: Smart minds in all sectors and all lines in order to protect the sovereignty, dignity and pride of the nation are sharper than relying only on weapons". he continued
