The Chancellor of UPNVJ Receives SK Permit for Bachelor of Physiotherapy Study Program

HumasUPNVJ - Cawang, 11/09/2021, Located in the Ki Hajar Dewantara room, office of the Higher Education Service Institute (LLDikti) region three Jakarta, the Chancellor of UPN Veteran Jakarta received Decree of the minister of education and culture No. 409/E/O/2021 regarding permits to open study program Physiotherapy undergraduate program at UPNVJ.

The UPNVJ Physiotherapy Study Program is the only undergraduate study program at state universities on the island of Java, the other two are at Hasanuddin Makassar University (UNHAS) and Udayana University Denpasar.

As the only state university that manages physiotherapy study programs on the island of Java, the secretary of LLDikti hopes that UPNVJ can provide the best service to students and become a center of excellence or a center of excellence which is a reference for managing similar programs for other universities in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta.

When receiving the permit, the Chancellor of UPNVJ expressed his hope, "Receiving permission to open this study program must be followed by a commitment to seriously and professionally manage the program so that it can become a competitive study program and become a referral center as expected by the secretary of LLDikti," he said

On this occasion the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Antar Venus, who was also present at the occasion stated that the opening of the physiotherapy study program would make UPNVJ a tertiary institution that not only manages the vocational diploma program but also as an academic discipline which means it is helping to develop the scientific aspects of physiotherapy in Indonesia. "For this purpose, laboratory facilities including the main physiotherapy clinic will be upgraded with complete and modern equipment," continued Venus

In this activity, the Dean of FIKES, Wahyu Sulistiadi, was also present, "The submission of this study program is full of dynamics and takes up to one year, but regardless of the length of time, preparations must be made immediately so that when new student admissions for the 2022/2023 academic year are fully prepared both from the aspect of infrastructure, readiness of teaching staff, including other academic documents.
