HumasUPNVJ - UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) should be proud of its three students for being part of the 78 students from 40 Kemenpora partner universities who will receive venture capital assistance worth IDR 10 million each.

The three UPNVJ students are Muhammad Nurul Aripin from S1 Accounting, Adam Merdeka from S1 Mechanical Engineering and Sayyidatul Aisyah Abigail Alhabi Chandra from D3 Finance and Banking.

The awarding of the grant funds was carried out at the Ciputra Citraland Hotel, West Jakarta by Imam Gunawan, Assistant Deputy for Entrepreneurship Development of the Ministry of Youth and Sport representing Menpora Zainudin Amali, last Thursday (2/12/21) together with 78 recipients from 40 universities partnering the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Present to witness the handover of the grant was the Head of UPT. Career Development and Entrepreneurship (PKK) UPNVJ Catur Nugrahaeni Puspita Dewi, M.Kom.

In his report to the Public Relations team, Catur Nugrahaeni said that it would not only end here in the future, students would receive assistance and guidance so that students could develop their businesses.

On his occasion, Imam Gunawan when visiting the UPNVJ booth told one of the UPNVJ students on behalf of Adam Merdeka to take part in the Student Entrepreneurial Achievement activities next year, considering that his business is in the social sector.

Previously, Imam Gunawan in his remarks also congratulated the students who passed the Kemenpora Entrepreneurship Program in 2021. "The students who passed have gone through a very strict screening stage. The jury team evaluates starting from business proposals, talents, interests to students' abilities in presenting their proposals including how students give arguments," he explained.

He said that the entrepreneurship lecture program held by Kemenpora was the government's effort to arouse the entrepreneurial spirit of youth. From year to year, the number of enthusiasts continues to increase significantly. For this year alone, the ratio of applicants reached 1:238. This means that one student has to face 238 other participants.

Therefore, Imam asked the students who have passed the Entrepreneurship program to maintain their enthusiasm to continue developing their business. Maintaining this spirit is often an obstacle for novice businessmen.

Catur Nugrahaeni who is a lecturer accompanying the students expressed his gratitude because in the end 3 UPNVJ students were able to qualify for the Entrepreneurship for Youth program. "Me and the UPT team. PKK will continue to provide assistance so that their business can develop more and hopefully other students can be inspired to follow the same path next year," he said.
