HumasUPNVJ – UPN Veteran Jakarta is carrying out an internal selection of potential participants for the 2022 Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) on Monday, 7 February 2022. The purpose of this internal selection is to recruit potential participants who will later receive assistance from the International Affairs Office (KUI) and facilities test.

The internal selection process was opened by listening to remarks from the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Anter Venus, MA and Head of KUI, Dr. Bambang Susanto, M.A. The report given by Bambang in his speech stated that this year there were 61 applicants for IISMA and would then be selected again to leave only 40 people. However, it is possible that participants who do not pass the internal selection can register independently.

This internal selection is known to involve one KUI staff, one UPN Veteran Jakarta lecturer, and three IISMA 2021 participants. Those who will later be tasked with selecting prospective participants who meet the standards to get KUI assistance along with IISMA 2022 test facilities.

As we all know, the IISMA program is one of the representatives of the MBKM program which is included as a flagship program. The MBKM spirit provides opportunities for students to study in new places outside the university environment where students study. The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs emphasized that a good opportunity like this must be taken advantage of. "Moreover, learning opportunities are not at other universities in Indonesia but abroad which are in the category of world universities. So it's an amazing opportunity. I am grateful that since the launch of the first IISMA, UPN has immediately been on fire . We immediately registered and thank God our participants were amazing. Out of all the new PTNs in Indonesia, we have eight graduates." he said.

Venus appealed to IISMA 2021 graduates to become mentors for IISMA participants this year by directly sharing experiences and guiding participants. Venus believes that prospective IISMA 2022 participants have a great opportunity to be able to compete with other universities because of the high ability of students as evidenced by the position of UPN Veteran Jakarta which is ranked in the top 10 in Indonesia. The key is preparation and the university has a commitment to accompany and facilitate participants so they are ready to take the next test so they can compete with other universities. (sf)
