Three Law Faculty Lecturers Elected to Become UPNVJ Senate Members

HumasUPNVJ - Based on the vote count conducted by the Faculty of Law (FH) UPN Veterans Jakarta (UPNVJ), there were three lecturers who were democratically elected as candidates for senate members representing the Faculty of Law UPNVJ lecturers for the 2022-2026 period.

The selection process was carried out through a direct election session in the meeting room on the second floor of the Faculty of Law, on Friday (25/03/22).

Based on the vote count, three lecturers were selected, including; Drs Subakdi, MM (24 votes) and Wardani Rizkianti, SH, M.Kn (24 votes) will serve as members of the UPNVJ Law Faculty lecturer representative senate until 2026.

Meanwhile, selected through the determination of Prof. Dr. Bambang Waluyo, SH, MH Professor of the Faculty of Law was determined based on the mandate of the Statute Article on the representation of lecturers with the position of Professor. The two candidates for the Senate elected outperformed the other candidates, namely; Dr. Wicipto Setiadi, SH, MH, Dr. Atik Winanti, SH, MH, Sulastri, SH, MH and Mulyadi, SH, MH.

Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Abdul Halim, M.Ag. in his remarks stated that the process of selecting the senate to represent lecturers in the university senate was a mandate from the statute of the Jakarta Veterans National Development University.

"All of us at UPN Veteran Jakarta must respect and obey the principles and implement the rules contained in the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Regulation Number 87 of 2017 kicking off the UPN Veteran Jakarta Statute and university senate regulation Number 1 of 2019 concerning procedures for selecting members of the senate," said Abdul Halim.

He also added that the election of members of the university senate in the law faculty must be a good example for the campus community in Indonesia by upholding democratic values by carrying out procedures properly and correctly.

In line with that, the chairman of the Khoirur election session Rizal Lutfhi, SH, MH stated that the process of selecting candidates for senate members for deputy lecturers at the law faculty had proceeded in accordance with the rules in the UPNVJ statute and University Senate Regulations.

Khoirurrizal is very optimistic that the elected representatives will contribute ideas for the development of the institution in the future and can encourage the progress of the law faculty.

The election secretary, Taupiqurrohman added that the administrative requirements to become a candidate include; Civil Servants (PNS), minimum education S-2, and Lector Functional Position. This refers to Senate Regulation Number 1 of 2019 concerning Procedures for Election of UPNVJ Senate Members.
