"Thanks to the support of many parties, we, the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology, have managed to collect 20 episodes of independent learning, and today we will launch a new episode of UKE 21, namely "Eternal Fund for Higher Education". I also thank the Ministry of Finance for always being there to support the Ministry of Education and Culture. As we know, our country is arguably still lacking in education funds, to increase funding for higher education, we must foster strong collaboration between the government, the community and the private sector. Therefore, the important point that I want to convey is that with a strong collaboration between the government, the community and the private sector, our country, Indonesia will have the opportunity to catch up with funding in higher education," said Nadiem.
"The Higher Education Endowment Program is targeted at PTNBH as a legal entity that can manage financial assets independently, due to several things, including the flexibility of partnerships with industry, the freedom to appoint lecturers and education staff, the flexibility to develop non-academic academic facilities, and autonomy to manage finances and have full assets (endowments),” he continued.
Sri Mulyani, Minister of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia in her speech said that investment in education is the best investment in a country, "I hope that with the many programs of the Independent Learning policy, hopefully education in Indonesia can increase. Our way to improve education can be started from early education, namely Early Childhood Education. Investment in education is the best investment in a country. I entrust the entire large budget for the education of our children in Indonesia. I know everything will not go smoothly but I am sure that we can all work well together for the advancement of Indonesian education," said Sri Mulyani.
