LPPPM - Friday July 15, 2022, is the second day of a series of Bimtek Lecturers of Philosophy of Science and Logic UPNVJ which was held in the Mass Classroom Gd. Soetomo Lt.2. The implementation of this activity is based on questions about a truth, reason, and thought that are never finished. These questions generate the idea to think critically regressively and continuously to find the cause and effect of everything. From these questions produce a critical attitude that is implemented in every process of dialogue, discourse, debate, and discussion to find the truth.
"As our initial commitment based our actions on the basis of thinking, The Nature of University Culture teaches us about curiosity, critical thinking, the ability to debate ideas into three basic values that are very relevant to the philosophy of science and logic courses," said Dr. Anther Venus on Friday (15/07/22).
There are two elements in philosophy, namely the tendency to ask questions about anything and the truth in a search process. As a scientist must have the habit of asking anything, the truth is never finished, not only statements but also questions. There are two basic methods of philosophy, namely the midwife method and the doubt method.
The implementation of Bimtek is expected to be able to increase understanding of the philosophy of science and logic as well as critical thinking by inviting Dr. Alexander Sonny Keraf on Functions and Generalities of Logic and Prof. Dr. Komaruddin Hidayat conveyed logic: a means of scientific thinking.
