HumasUPNVJ - PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022 was held collaboratively and simultaneously by three Veteran Universities in Indonesia in different areas, namely UPN Veterans East Java, UPN Veterans Yogyakarta and UPN Veterans Jakarta. PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022 involved more than 2,000 students and lecturers from both UPN Veterans itself and other invited universities. With 20 competitions held for 10 days in three different regions, namely East Java, Yogyakarta and Jakarta. Therefore, PORSIMNAS WIMAYA became the first event for UPN Veterans with sports, arts and science simultaneously in three different provinces. From July 13 to July 17, 2022, PORSIMNAS WIMAYA activities specifically for the scientific branch and state defense olympiad have been held at UPN Veteran Yogyakarta.
Right on the last day (17/7), the awarding night for PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022 took place in the seminar room of the UPNVYK Faculty of Mineral Technology which was attended directly by Prof. Irhas as Rector and Dr. Singgih Saptono as Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation of UPNVYK.
The Rector of UPNVYK in his speech said that he was proud of the enthusiasm of all participants who took part in the scientific branch of the PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022 competition in Yogyakarta, "I am happy and proud to see so many participants taking part in this activity, especially the teams from UPNVJ and UPNVJT," he said.
The UPNVYK Chancellor also in his speech conveyed the meaning of the theme of the PORSIMNAS WIMAYA activity in 2022, "The theme taken is Innovation and Achievement of the State Defense Generation through PORSIMNAS WIMAYA, with this theme we hope that in the future, Indonesian children, especially students UPN Veterans can continue to innovate to become a young generation who loves the homeland,” continued Prof. Irhas.
This activity is expected to be a gathering place for three UPN Veterans throughout Indonesia to build the best work for the world of Indonesian education.
In the scientific branch there are 5 categories of competitions held, including: Student Creativity Week (PKM), Robot Contest, National Defense Olympiad, Entrepreneurship and State Defense Community Service.
