HumasUPNVJ – The second day of PORSIMNAS WIMAYA 2022 (13/03/2022) presented a new competition, namely swimming. The match was completed in one day from morning to noon. The results obtained by UPN Veteran Jakarta are quite encouraging, namely one gold, two silver, and two bronze.
The UPN Veterans Jakarta contingent sent four participants in this sport. Mulvi Muhammad Ihsan, a 2019 Law student, won a gold medal in the Men's Chest 100 meter category. In addition, Wemona Obelia Inas Shabrina, a 2019 Nutrition Science student, who contributed two silvers for the 100-meter Women's Chest and 200-meter Women's Chest category. The two bronze contributors for UPN Veterans Jakarta are Farah Diba, a 2021 Law student for the 50 meter Free Women and 100 meter Free Women categories.
Representing the other participants, Mulvi conveyed his joy to the Public Relations team because he was able to bring the name of the UPN Veterans Jakarta campus on the national stage and also make his classmates proud. It's possible to investigate, it turns out that Mulvi was nervous about knowing his opponent, but it was handled well so that he finally won the match. Mulvi also advised the other participants not to be discouraged and keep fighting. "The message is even though UPNVJ has not been able to become the overall champion, there is still a chance next year to fight again," he said.
This achievement was honestly quite surprising for Mulvi and the swimming officials, as well as other participants from the UPN Veterans Jakarta contingent. The reason is that according to the official's confession, the training carried out before the match is still fairly immature in several aspects. "What is certain is that it's amazing because, judging from our preparation, we also lack a number of things, technical, punctual, we are still lacking. From the practice where there are still many mistakes, this may be an extraordinary result and beyond expectations," said Lawdzai Nuzulul Azhfar, as the official for the swimming team.
