LPPM Holds Equal Perception with Research Reviewers and Community Service in 2023

HumasUPNVJ - Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) is holding a perception leveling activity with research and community service reviewers in 2023. (24/1)

This activity aims to prepare reviewers before providing an assessment of research proposals and community service. UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. R. Dudy Heryadi, also attended the perception leveling activity.

"This activity to equalize the perceptions of reviewers is very good for explaining to the reviewers regarding the several steps that need to be taken during the assessment process. In previous years there were no activities like this, so many reviewers were confused about the assessment," said Dr. R. Dudy Heryadi.

Dr. R. Dudy Heryadi also provides full support with activities aimed at preparing reviewers. According to him, careful preparation will produce satisfactory results.

With the preparation of this reviewer it is hoped that it will be able to provide constructive assessments and comments for lecturers. It aims to print superior and potential research and community service proposals.

“I believe in the principle that change needs to be done slowly. Because changes made quickly will usually take its toll. Meanwhile, if we take it slowly we can see it objectively and evaluate the changes we want to make,” added Dr. R. Dudy Heryadi.

After that, the Head of the Research Center, Dr. Muhamad Alif Razi, S.Pi., M.Sc. and Head of Community Service Center, Dr. Firlia Ayu Arini, SKM, MKM also explained the steps and several points for evaluating proposals for the reviewers.

There are several steps for evaluating proposals, namely logging into the sim.upnvj.ac.id website and clicking the "Activity List" menu in the "Litabmas" menu. Then the screen will display several activity schemes at LPPM, the reviewer can choose the scheme that contains the number of proposals to be assessed.

"For example the Basic Community Partnership Program (PKM-D) scheme, then reviewers can see the title of the proposal and the team leader who proposed it. Next, please click on the menu with the eye in the 'Action' menu column. Finally, click on the 'Assessment' menu which will display several points for assessing the proposal,” said Dr. Firlia Ayu Arini, SKM, MKM

more Dr. Muhamad Alif Razi, S.Pi., M.Sc. also explains that each reviewer is required to fill in the reasons for the selected assessment criteria. “Also make sure to select the 'Save' button to save the changes that have been made,” says Dr. Muhamad Alif Razi, S.Pi., M.Sc.

“Overall, the steps in providing an assessment of this proposal are the same as those for assessing progress reports and final reports. It's just that the questions posed by LPPM are different," said Dr. Muhamad Alif Razi, S.Pi., M.Sc.

This perception leveling activity was also attended by 35 reviewers for research and community service. During the activity, the reviewers seemed very enthusiastic about participating and providing feedback for LPPM.

In line with this, Law Faculty Lecturer, Dr. Beniharmoni Harefa,, SH, LL.M, also expressed his appreciation to LPPM for innovating in the scheme of research activities and community service.

"Including the postgraduate scheme, then the professor's research scheme can also be applied again for next year," said Dr. Beniharmoni Harefa,, SH, LL.M

Furthermore, Dr. Beniharmoni Harefa,, SH, LL.M also added that LPPM needs to remind researchers who have debt. "Researchers who have debts can be given a note that they have not paid off their debts," said Dr. Beniharmoni Harefa,, SH, LL.M.

Responding to suggestions from Dr. Beniharmoni Harefa,, SH, LL.M., Head of Research Center Dr. Muhamad Alif Razi, S.Pi., M.Sc. explained that LPPM had provided notes for lecturers who had not paid off their external debt.

"We have provided data on lecturers who have not yet provided outputs in 2020 and 2021 to the Deputy Deans in each Faculty. We hope that the respective faculties can follow up on these data," said Dr. Muhamad Alif Razi, S.Pi., M.Sc.

The Head of the LPPM Research Center also added that lecturers who still have external debt will be automatically blocked. Thus, the name of the lecturer cannot submit a research proposal in 2023.

"For lecturers who have not paid off external debt, please pay it off immediately so they can submit research proposals in 2023. External debts can be sent directly through the sim.upnvj.ac.id website, "concluded Dr. Muhamad Alif Razi, S.Pi., M.Sc.
