HumasUPNVJ - Higher education institutions as higher education institutions today are required not only to produce human resources with knowledge ( hard skills ), but also to have soft skills . Soft skills are acquired through extra-curricular activities. One of the extra-curricular forms is the activities of student organizations such as the Student Consultative Assembly (MPM), Student Executive Boards (BEM), and Student Activity Units (UKM), as well as the Association of Similar Student Organizations (IOMS) which demand managerial knowledge and skills.
So therefore the provision of managerial knowledge and skills to manage student organizations needs to be owned by students, especially students who are directly and actively involved in the management of student organizations both at the study program, faculty, and university level. One form of effort to provide this provision is by providing a training program, namely Student Management Skills Training (PKMM) which is facilitated by the Student Affairs Division of the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University.
The PKMM 2023 activity was attended directly by the UPNVJ Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation, the Coordinator for Academic and Student Affairs, and the Student Affairs Sub-Coordinator and was attended by 130 representatives of ORMAWA and UKM within UPNVJ. This activity was held face to face, at the UPNVJ Campus Limo's Tanah Airku Hall. (1/3)
dr. Ria Maria, UPNVJ Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation in her speech said that this PKMM activity is a routine UPNVJ activity every year which is held with the aim that later all UPNVJ students who are members of an organization are able to have good managerial skills, "This activity of course it is very useful for all the ORMAWA and UKM activities that you have. You will get a lot of insights and I hope that this activity can produce output that is also suitable for the life of ORMAWA and UKM friends. One of the important things that you will get is qualified managerial skills to build and manage an ORMAWA or UKM, explained dr. Ria
