UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine Students Won 1st Place in the 2023 AESCULAPIUS Public Health Poster Contest

HumasUPNVJ - In order to continue to improve knowledge and skills for a Medical student in preparing to become a competent Doctor, Faculty of Medicine students who are members of one team, including Winda Husni Arifah, Fahmi Kamaludin and Adilah Falakh Sani take part in the " Atma Cordis Scientific" Atma Jaya United Scholar Competition and Annual Congress (AESCULAPIUS)” 2023 and won 1st place in the Public Health poster competition branch.

Met online by the UPNVJ Public Relations Team, Fahmi Kamaluddin representing his team told a little more about the activities he and the team participated in recently, " Atma Cordis Ilmiah" Atma Jaya United Scholar Competition and Annual Congress (AESCULAPIUS) "2023 " is a meeting and a scientific competition held regularly every year by the Government of the Student Senate of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (SM-FKIK) Unika Atma Jaya and participated in by all scientific bodies of health students throughout Indonesia, with the theme ”Effort to Ameliorate Tropical Infectious Diseases as a Renowned National Health Burden through Innovative Medical and Scientific Strategies " which in this theme is expected to create various new innovations to deal with health problems of tropical infectious diseases," explained Fahmi

"There are several series of activities in this event including registration, stage 1 selection, final competition (participant registration, opening , competition final presentation, city tour , gala dinner , workshop , and announcements). Even though there are many stages in the process, we are still enthusiastic about the preparation. The underlying reason for us wanting to take part in this competition is because we want to gain experience and make as many achievements as possible. Apart from that, we are also very interested in this competition because it is a prestigious competition and is held very cool every year," he continued.

The branch of the competition that Fahmi and the team took part in was the LPKM (Public Health Poster Competition) in which there were 30 teams with 90 participants from various universities in Indonesia, including Airlangga University, Sebelas Maret University, Andalas University, Warmadewa University, Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University, University of Jember, and several other universities.

AESCULAPIUS 2023 will be held at Atmajaya University, Jakarta from Wednesday, 29 March 2023 to Saturday, 1 April 2023.

Fahmi also explained the preparations he and the team had prepared, "The preparations we did started from compiling materials and making posters, registering for competitions and collecting posters, through stage 1 selection and thank God we passed so we could proceed to the final stage and in this final stage we started preparing proposal submissions, making presentation concepts and preparing all the properties to be used, as well as carrying out exercises in earnest. The preparation for this competition coincided with the preparation for the exam, so it did feel a little extra in the preparation. However, thank God we were able to complete everything in a compact, good and timely manner," Fahmi explained

Winda Husni Arifah, Fahmi Kamaludin and Adilah Falakh Sani hope that the UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine can continue to provide support to all of its students so that they are always enthusiastic about making even more achievements to make their families proud and make the name of the UPNVJ Faculty proud.
