HumasUPNVJ – Following up on cooperation discussions that had taken place previously in Central Lombok, today the Regional Government of Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, visited UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) to discuss the implementation of cooperation between UPNVJ and the local government (13/06).
Previously, the UPNVJ Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) discussed the potential for so many collaborations to be realized, both with FIK itself and other faculties at UPNVJ. The ideas put forward by FIK included digital transformation. “Maybe it's time for us to implement. If we agree with the computer faculty, we have previously talked about digital transformation in Central Lombok." Uccap Dean of FIK, Ermatita in her brief remarks.
This collaboration is considered to be able to assist the Central Lombok Regional Government in creating a system and increasing HR competence in the digital field, of course. Not only that, the Dean of FIK, Ermatita said in her remarks that she hoped UPNVJ could be facilitated to carry out the KKM program in the local area.
Through this discussion, other collaboration opportunities were also discussed which are very likely to be implemented together, such as the acceptance of new students. In this regard, the Regional Government of Central Lombok, represented directly by the Regent of Central Lombok Regency, H. Lalu Pathul Bahri, hopes that residents who memorize the Al-Qur'an can study in college with a target of 10 people in one period. UPNVJ is a state university that is expected to be able to accommodate Central Lombok children with affordable tuition fees.
At UPNVJ it is known that there is a special route for those who memorize the Al-Qur'an. Of course Central Lombok can encourage citizens who are ready to study to register at UPNVJ through this route. Erna Harfiani as Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, stated that the Faculty of Medicine itself has accepted three students from this route for the last three years.
Regarding this issue, the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Anter Venus, was very open to the ideas presented by the Regent of Central Lombok as long as they were in accordance with the existing procedures. Children in Central Lombok can register through the existing system and follow the selection process. The quota will also be adjusted according to the applicable policies.
The discussion which took place in the UPNVJ Nusantara Meeting Room 1 also discussed several other collaboration implementations such as a digital literacy plan for teachers, an orphan data collection system, to solving the problem of stunting by creating a stunting data management system.
