Foster Village: UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Physiotherapy Student Association Holds PTM Prevention Education Activities

 

HumasUPNVJ - Department of Social Society Physiotherapy Student Association Diploma Three Program Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta has successfully held a series of Assisted Village events. This activity took place on Saturday, 24 June 2023, by visiting the Pangkalan Jati Village. With the theme "Education on Prevention of PTM (Non-Communicable Diseases)", this activity aims to introduce and socialize the Physiotherapy Study Program to the public.

The 2023 Assisted Village event is one of the work programs held by the Department of Community Social Affairs. This activity provides a forum in the form of outreach to the community regarding outreach, basic examinations, and questions and answers regarding the theme of preventing non-communicable diseases.

On Saturday, May 27, this activity was held offline at Posyandu Sawo, Pangkalan Jati Village. The event took place from 08.00 to 12.00 WIB and was attended by around 25 offline participants who came from the environment around the Pangkalan Jati Village.

In this event, M. Indra and Alya, Active Students of Physiotherapy Diploma Three and Bachelor Programs in the Faculty of Health Sciences UPN Veterans Jakarta batch 2021 and 2022, acted as masters of ceremony. The activity began with the opening and remarks from the Chairperson of the Assisted Village Executive, the Head of the RW, the Head of the Physiotherapy Department, and the Head of the Physiotherapy Association. Next, a group photo was taken by all participants and the committee, participants carried out a pretest guided by the committee, and presentation of the material delivered by Putri Razita, Physiotherapy Diploma Three Program Student. After that, the participants took the posttest which was guided by the committee before the event was finally closed.

With enthusiasm and enthusiasm, this Foster Village activity provides benefits to the community around the Pangkalan Jati Village in recognizing and understanding the prevention of non-communicable diseases. It is hoped that the collaboration between the UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Physiotherapy Student Association and the community will continue to share knowledge and experiences in improving public health.
