Frame of Photography FISIP UPNVJ Holds 'Hawa Sang Ksatria' Photo Exhibition

HumasUPNVJ - The student study group (KSM) in the field of photography from the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ), Frame of Photography, is again holding a photo exhibition titled Mini Photo Image Showroom VII or Mini Photo Exhibition VII. The exhibition will take place at the Super Sunday Cafe, Super 8mm Foundation, Jakarta, from 15-19 July 2023.

Different from previous years where activities were hampered by the Covid-19 pandemic, this year's mini photo exhibition took place offline.

The theme of this year's exhibition is Eve the Knight, which is taken from the story of a woman's struggle in the context of human interest. Hawa comes from the Arabic word which means a female figure, while a knight is defined as someone who fights and has high courage.

The purpose of this exhibition is to introduce that not all women in this world have jobs based solely on desire. Many of them need a job to support their personal and family life.

These tough women are forced to work hard so as not to burden their families and try to make their lives even better.

Meanwhile for KSM Frame of Photography, this mini-exhibition is a place to train the abilities of each new member, which can measure how far they understand the world of photography.

Not only that, this activity is also a means to share works with the UPNVJ Academic Community, especially FISIP, and also to the general public, both from outside the campus, the community and photography lovers.

"I am happy that this event took place because students in any major need to have photography skills for the world of work. Photography is also important as a means of student expression in their fields such as political or journalistic photography," said UPNVJ Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation FISIP Musa Maliki, Ph. .d.

"By holding this photography exhibition, beginners can practice finding interest and sensitivity in their work," he continued.

According to Musa, the title of the exhibition "Ewa the Kshatriya" is photographs of humanity that highlight the struggles of women amidst the challenges of an increasingly difficult era.

Specifically, this theme transports the story of a single mother who struggles to make ends meet amidst the pressures of poverty and the free market. Musa added, women are fighters as well as victims of global development.

Finally, Musa hopes that Frame of Photography can continue to create and present meaningful works in the future.

"KSM Frame of Photography needs to be supported because it has become a space for students to develop their technical skills in facing the world of work," concluded Musa.
