HumasUPNVJ - Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University held the 2nd Batch of the Independent Selection Exam (SEMA) at UPNVJ Limo Campus on Thursday, July 27 2023. The SEMA exam had minimal problems and went smoothly with 3,294 participants participating in two sessions, namely morning and afternoon .
Garcia Krisnando Nathanael, one of the supervisors of SEMA UPNVJ Batch 2, said that the whole activity, from preparation to implementation on D-Day, went relatively smoothly.
The simulation activity that was carried out three days before the event was also said to have contributed greatly to the success of the Batch 2 SEMA exam.
"From the supervisor's point of view, what the committee has done so far has been good in implementing the independent selection," said Garcia, who supervised the 24 participants in the morning session.
The Batch 2 SEMA exam took place online, so that supervision was carried out virtually through each participant's cellphone camera. While supervising, Garcia saw indications of cheating, such as the gestures of a number of participants who always looked back and forth. There were also some participants who frequently looked down.
"But so far, these are all indications of fraud, because nothing has been proven to have committed fraud," said Garcia.
For next year's entrance selection exam, Garcia calls on those interested in entering UPNVJ to find out information in advance, including about which faculty or study program they want.
"My hope is that friends who are still in high school already know the picture of where to go to college, in which study program so that they don't feel that they are in the wrong major in the future," concluded Garcia.
For those who have taken the UPNVJ Batch 2 SEMA exam this year, graduation announcements will be made on Monday, 31 July 2023.
