UPNVJ Creates a Spirit of Diversity Through the 2023 Merdeka Student Exchange Program

HumasUPNVJ – After last year's Independent Student Exchange (PMM) program was quite successful, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) this year also took part in organizing the program. This year was recorded as the third year in which the PMM program took place at UPNVJ.

As intended by the Ministry of Education and Culture as program manager, PMM aims to provide diversity experiences through participation in the Nusantara Module, courses, and various related activities that can obtain credit recognition of up to 20 credits.

The Head of LP3M UPNVJ, Satria Yudhia, SE, M.Ak, reported that this year there were 58 students from various regions outside Java who wanted to study at UPNVJ for 1 semester from August to December 2023.

The interest in the PMM program at UPNVJ can be said to have increased from last year. There were 390 students representing 82 tertiary institutions in Indonesia who registered at UPNVJ. After going through the selection process, 62 students were declared passed but only 59 people confirmed and then 1 person resigned. With that, it was recorded that 58 students actively participated in PMM Batch 3 at UPNVJ.

The arrival of the Batch 3 PMM participants at the UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus was warmly welcomed by Satria together with the Head of MBKM Headquarters, CitraOfficial, MH.

The Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) is one of the important initiatives in the world of higher education in Indonesia. PMM provides opportunities for students from various tertiary institutions to study in different academic environments, while also deepening their understanding of Indonesia's diversity.

The PMM 3 program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable experience in cross-cultural and academic contexts. It is hoped that through PMM, students will be able to develop insights, improve interpersonal skills, and enrich their understanding of the various aspects of Indonesia.

With blazing enthusiasm, UPN Veteran Jakarta together with all PMM 3 participating universities are committed to making this program a real vehicle for building unity and strong nationalism among the younger generation. It is hoped that the students involved will become ambassadors for diversity that can drive the progress of the nation.

"We are looking forward to the positive results that will be produced by PMM 3 and believe that this program will make a valuable contribution to the intellectual and cultural growth of students and strengthen international brotherhood." Said Satria when welcoming the arrival of the PMM participants at the UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus.
