Public Relations UPNVJ - The vision of becoming a superior university of international quality, innovative, competitive with the identity of defending the country, UPN Veteran Jakarta, is the foundation and motivation for standardization of all academics institutionally and individually in contributing.
The UPN Veteran Jakarta Research Ethics Committee (KEP) as an independent institution which was formed in 2014 functions to improve the quality of research to international standards and is currently receiving recognition certification from the 3rd Forum of Ethical Review Committee in Asia and Western Pacific.
The recipient of the 3rd recognition certification was represented by Dr. Rini Riyantini, M.Sc. as secretary of KEP UPNVJ at the 23th International Conference and General Assembly SIDCER-FERCAP, 26-29 November 2023 at University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which was attended by 477 participants from 18 Asia Pacific countries.
The previous recognition certification was obtained by KEP UPNVJ in 2016 at the University of Chulalongkon, Bangkok, Thailand for the 1st recognition and in 2019 at the University of Science Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia for the 2nd recognition.
Obtaining the 3rd recognition certification shows the consistency of UPNVJ KEP management in accordance with international standards as well as the institutional credibility in UPNVJ that is needed so that it has competitiveness. There are 17 ethics committees in Indonesia that have been recognized by FERCAP, namely ethics committees in both universities and hospitals.
The development of KEP UPNVJ can be seen from the number, qualifications and protocol management. The number of protocols managed currently reaches 600 protocols, with multi-disciplinary scientific study areas and an online management system. Services are provided for internal and external researchers, with domestic and foreign certified reviewer qualifications, both medical and non- medical .
