Public Relations UPNVJ - National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta attended the Coordination Meeting for Material Preparation and Promotion for the Implementation of the 2024 National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB). The event, which was attended by 148 Public Relations representatives from all State Universities, was held in Bandung, West Java on 5-7 December 2023.

Acting as one of the speakers, Prof Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie from Airlangga University mentioned that there were several changes to the rules for implementing the 2024 SNPMB.

One of these changes is the prohibition on students who pass the Achievement Based National Selection (SNBP) from taking part in the Test Based National Selection (SNBT) and Independent Selection.

Prof. Tjitjik said some of these changes refer to Permendikbudristek No. 48 of 2022 concerning Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Number 48 of 2022 concerning Admission of New Students for Diploma and Undergraduate Programs at State Universities.

"In essence, this change provides equal space for prospective D3, D4 and Bachelor program students," said Prof Tjitjik

Another thing that needs attention at SNPMB 2024 is the expansion of exam participation, both in vocational programs, arts/humanities programs, and State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN).

Just like in 2023, UTBK centers for SNPMB 2024 are located at 74 PTNs, and for the Blind UTBK centers are at 51 PTNs.

This coordination meeting is a preparation for the official launch of SNPMB 2024 which is planned to be held online on Friday, December 8 2023 at 14.00 - 16.00 WIB via live broadcast via the Instagram account @_snpmbbppp and YouTube livestreaming on the SNPMB BPPP account.
