"Congratulations and thank you all for your extraordinary struggle and achievements," said the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Dr. Ria Maria Theresa.

Mahardika's Criteria and Assessment

Candidates for the Karya Mahardika Award are determined based on an assessment of four criteria, namely GPA; certification or recognition; student competition; and student organizations.

GPA refers to a student's academic grades during lectures, while certification or recognition includes intellectual property rights; seminar speaker; publication of scientific articles in journals or newspapers; administrators of professional organizations including the positions of chairman, secretary or treasurer. This certification or recognition must come from an international institution or body.

Student competition points cover academic and non-academic domains, both at regional, national and international levels. A prospective Mahardika recipient needs to win 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in this competition point.

"The Mahardika Award is given to motivate students. They need to understand that studying is important, but there are also other important things outside the academic field," said Ria.

"It is hoped that all UPNVJ students can be motivated to compete in order to achieve even higher achievements than now," he concluded.
