UPNVJ Explores Collaboration with South Korean Information Technology Association

 

Public RelationsUPNVJ - Faculty of Computer Science, Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) carried out collaborative exploration activities with HAICT Inc, KOIPA, South Korea on Wednesday, May 8 2024.

The activity in the FIK UPNVJ Meeting Room was attended by Dean of FIK Supriyanto, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs Erly Krisnanik, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation Ati Zaidiah, Head of Department and Head of Undergraduate Information Systems Study Program Anita Muliawati, Head of D3 Information Systems Study Program Rio Wirawan, Head of Undergraduate Informatics Study Program Widya Cholil, and the heads of the FIK UPNVJ laboratories.

Also present were Choi Thai Rim as Chairman of Haict Inc, KOIPA, Mr. Hyeon Yu as Director of KOIPA, Professor Han from the KOIPA delegation, South Korea, and Dr. (Cand) Yohanes Kurnia Widjaja, ST., MMSI as Director of PT Sari Teknologi Global and members of the KOIPA Team, South Korea.

In this meeting, the Korea IT Business Promotion Association (KOIPA) introduced information technology products based on artificial intelligence (AI) developed by the KOIPA company. One of the products is ketcaup, an online learning system for learning Korean that has been recognized by the South Korean industry.

Apart from product introduction, the aim of exploring this collaboration is to support each other in the tridharma activities of higher education, where FIK UPNVJ acts as a strategic partner in terms of assisting learning. PT Sari Teknologi Global also plays a role in exploring this collaboration.

KOIPA hopes that FIK can facilitate students and lecturers to learn Korean using ketcaup products. This is recommended considering that one of the requirements for participating in an internship is mastery of the Korean language.

"We hope that the UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Computer Science Faculty can collaborate further by inviting experts as resource persons regarding public lectures, guest lectures, internships and resource persons at ICIMCIS seminar activities," said Widya Cholil.

"Hopefully this collaboration can increase students' experience and insight at the international level, have international insight and be internationally certified," he continued.

After the collaboration exploration activity, the deans and invited guests from KOIPA from South Korea held a group photo session.
