HumasUPNVJ — UPN “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) once again held a Student Activity Unit (UKM) Parade as part of the 2024 Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) series.

This event took place lively at Tennis Indoor, Senayan, witnessed by 4000 new students who enthusiastically enjoyed various performances and presentations from various UKMs at the university.

The UKM Parade is one of the most anticipated activities in PKKMB, because through this event, new students are introduced to various student organizations that they can join during their studies. This year, more than 29 UKMs from various fields, ranging from arts, sports, to developing interests and talents, took part in the parade.

The role of UKM is very important in developing soft skills and student character. This UKM parade is not just a ceremonial event, but also an opportunity for new students to get to know the campus world better and find their passion outside of academics.

The parade began with a defile from Student Activity Units consisting of the Bidikmidi and KIP-K Student Forums, the Superior Student Card Forum, and AIESEC, and the Veteran Conference. The parade was followed by Religious Activity Units, namely the Agape Christian Student Fellowship, the Catholic Student Family, LDK Uswah, and the Hindu Dharma Student Family.

Next, new students are invited to get to know the UKM Minat bakat (Talent Interest) at UPNVJ, a place where they can hone their skills in fields other than academics. UKM Minar Bakat consists of UKM Master of Ceremony, Nature Lovers Students, Indonesian Red Cross Volunteer Corps, Student Regiment, and Aspiration.

Moving on from the Talent Interest UKM, new students are introduced to UKMs that showcase their skills in various sports, namely Badminton UKM (Buveja), Volleyball (Vimaveja), Basketball (BVJ), Chess (Cutveja), Pencak Silat (PSVJ), Taekwondo (Taveja), Tarung Derajat AA Boxer, and E-Sports .

Finally, various UKMs involved in the arts were introduced, such as UKM Seni Tari (STVJ), UFO, Teater Hijau Lima Satu, and Band (UBV).

This UKM Parade marks the culmination of a series of UPNVJ 2024 PKKMB activities, which are expected to provide inspiration and motivation for new students to be active in various student activities. By joining UKM, they are expected to be able to develop their potential and become agents of change in society.
