HumasUPNVJ – The second day of the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) of UPN “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) took place with great enthusiasm and passion (13/08). The activity officially began after a prayer reading, followed by a recap of the first day's activities showing important and enjoyable moments that the new students had gone through. The atmosphere was even more lively with the performance of the PATRIBERA 2024 Flashmob Jingle, which succeeded in arousing the enthusiasm and joy of all participants.
Before entering the educational session, new students were treated to a special performance from active UPNVJ students who performed songs and inspiring monologues. This performance was not only entertaining, but also added to the enthusiasm of the new students in participating in today's series of activities.
Entering the material session, the first briefing was delivered by dr. Erniawati Lestari, Sp.FK, who carried the theme "National Defense Awareness Through Drug Prevention: Realizing Golden Indonesia 2045." In this session, dr. Erniawati emphasized the importance of the role of students in protecting themselves from the threat of drugs as part of national defense efforts. Students were invited to contribute to realizing Golden Indonesia 2045 by staying away from drugs and maintaining physical and mental health.
The next material was delivered by Liza Marielly Djaprie, M.Psi., who discussed important issues related to sexual violence, anti-bullying, and mental health. In this session, new students were given insight into how to recognize and prevent acts of violence, as well as the importance of maintaining mental health in living academic and social life on campus.
The talk show session entitled "From MABA Defending the Country for the Indonesian Nation: Time for Creative Youth to Speak Up" presented Jovial Da Lopez as a resource person. Jovial shared his experience as an active and creative young creator, encouraging new students to dare to speak up and work for the progress of the nation. This talk show was interactive with many questions from enthusiastic participants.
Not only were they presented with inspiring materials, the second day's activities were also enlivened by stand-up comedy entertainment by comedian Ananta Rispo which made the atmosphere more relaxed and full of laughter.
The man who is familiarly called Rispo brings material that is relatable to student life, discussing funny stories about lectures and campus life. Rispo's appearance is not only a refreshing entertainment in the midst of a busy agenda, but also gives a warm and familiar impression, making new students feel more accepted in the campus environment.
After a series of busy activities, the event was officially closed by the UPNVJ Rector. In the closing ceremony, the Rector symbolically handed over new students to the deans of each faculty, marking the end of the orientation period and the beginning of their academic journey at UPNVJ.
The closing by the Chancellor marked the beginning of the academic journey of new students as part of the big UPNVJ family, which is expected to bring a new spirit in pursuing achievements and contributing to the nation.
UKM Parade and HIVI Performance as Closing
However, the event did not stop there. After the closing by the Rector, the activity continued with a more relaxed session, namely the introduction of Student Activity Units (UKM) which was packaged in the form of a parade.
New students are invited to get to know various UKMs at UPNVJ, ranging from sports, arts, to social organizations. This parade provides an opportunity for students to explore their interests and talents outside of academic activities.
The highlight of the UPNVJ 2024 PKKMB event in the evening presented a performance by a popular band among teenagers, HIVI. The band, known for its hit songs, entertained and united all participants in togetherness and joy, closing the PKKMB series with great enthusiasm.
The second day of PKKMB UPNVJ 2024 not only provided new knowledge and insights for new students, but also strengthened the bonds between them through various fun and inspiring activities.
