HumasUPNVJ – The 2024 UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) New Student Campus Life Introduction (PKKMB) activity is not only an opportunity to get to know the campus environment and academic system, but is also filled with motivational and inspirational sessions designed to awaken the spirit and leadership of new students.

In the series of events, new students get the opportunity to listen to various materials that motivate them to think creatively, dare to innovate, and contribute positively. These sessions feature successful speakers in their fields, who share inspiring stories about their life journeys and the challenges they have faced and conquered.

This motivational session aims to build a strong mentality in new students, so that they do not only focus on academics, but also develop character and leadership skills that will be important provisions in facing an increasingly complex and competitive world.

Students are reminded that the future is in their hands, and every step they take during their studies will have a major impact on their future achievements.

This introduction activity is filled with various relevant materials and presented by expert speakers. Here is a summary of the materials presented:

· Financial Literacy to Increase National Defense Awareness The activity was opened with the delivery of material by representatives from the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) carrying the theme "Financial Literacy to Increase National Defense Awareness." This material emphasized the importance of a good understanding of finance as one aspect in strengthening national resilience. Students were invited to understand their role in maintaining economic stability as a real manifestation of national defense.
· History, Identity, and Development of UPNVJ by the Chancellor of UPNVJ. In his presentation, the Chancellor will provide an in-depth explanation of the history, identity, and development of UPNVJ. New students are introduced to the values of National Defense which are the foundation of this university, as well as the achievements that have been achieved since its founding. This material aims to foster a sense of pride and responsibility as part of the UPNVJ family.
· Higher Education System in Indonesia Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Suning Kusumawardani, ST, MT, delivered material on the higher education system in Indonesia. In this session, new students were given an overview of the structure, regulations, and dynamics of higher education in Indonesia, as well as how UPNVJ plays a role in producing competent and globally competitive graduates.
· Talkshow: Student Character Development as Part of Student Character Development Efforts. This talkshow event presents Riky Boi Permata, Olivia, and Irvan Susandy. The three of them share their experiences and views on the importance of building strong character, both on and off campus. This talkshow was interactive, with many questions from enthusiastic students.
· Student Code of Ethics and Student Achievements. Vice Rector for Field 3 provided material on the student code of ethics and achievement. He emphasized the importance of complying with the rules and ethics that apply on campus, and encouraged new students to actively excel in various fields. The success of UPNVJ students in various national and international competitions was used as inspiration.
· Indonesia: The Only Nation That Gained Independence by Expelling Colonizers by Prof. Dr. H. Mohammad Mahfud Mahmodin, SH, SU, MIP He will give a public lecture emphasizing that Indonesia is the only nation that achieved independence by expelling colonizers. Students are reminded of the importance of maintaining the spirit of nationalism and understanding the history of the nation's struggle as important capital in maintaining the country's sovereignty.
· Universities in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and 5.0 CEOs from Goto and C-Level LINE filled the session discussing the role of universities in facing the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and 5.0. New students were invited to understand the rapid changes in technology and how they can prepare themselves to become innovators and leaders in the digital era.
· Sharing Session: The Avengers: Keys to Becoming The Achiever, Owner, Founder, And Influencer. The event ended with a sharing session with outstanding students, which carried the theme In this session, students shared strategies and success tips that can inspire new students to achieve extraordinary achievements in the future.

On the first day, the activities were not only filled with informative presentation sessions, but also included the launch of a book from Erlangga Publisher and various entertaining performances presented by active UPNVJ students.

With the enthusiasm and inspiration gained from these sessions, new students are expected to be able to live campus life with optimism and strong determination to achieve success.

PKKMB 2024 UPNVJ is an important moment to instill the values of National Defense and encourage students to continue to excel, respond to the challenges of the times, and play an active role in realizing a more advanced Indonesia.
