The Spirit of Building Innovation and Creativity at PKKMB FISIP UPNVJ 2024

Public Relations of UPNVJ - The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) is holding an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) activity in 2024. Located at the Bispar Building BBPPMPV, Bojongsari, Depok, this year's PKKMB FISIP UPNVJ will last for two days on August 14-15, 2024.

The big theme raised this year is “Building a Creative and Resilient Young Generation by Thinking Innovatively and Realizing Solutions.”

It is hoped that the 2024 PKKMB FISIP UPNVJ can provide a strong foundation for new students to get to know the FISIP environment better, and is expected to be able to shape students' personalities in a better direction in order to face various challenges in the future.

First day

The PKKMB activity began with an open faculty session procession opened by the Dean of FISIP UPNVJ Dr. S. Bekti Istiyanto, M.Si. and accompanied by a performance from the Veteran Dance Arts of Jakarta or STVJ.

Afterwards, the PKKMB academic report was read by the head of the lecturer committee and a symbolic handover ceremony for new students from the faculty to the coordinator of each study program. Academic, financial, and student presentations were then delivered by each vice dean.

The event continued with a talk show session filled with three speakers, namely Abraham Hino Samuel Jose, Jessica Margareth, and Amri Kusumawardana Sumodiningrat. They discussed how to become a student who is enthusiastic, mentally strong, skilled, and understands the field of interest.

There was also a presentation session by the PPKS Task Force or the Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Unit as a form of FISIP's attention to the issue of harassment.

New students of FISIP UPNVJ are also introduced to several organizations, namely the Student Senate, Student Executive Board, HIMASIFO (Information Science Student Association), HIMAPOL (Political Science Student Association), and HIMAIKOM (Communication Science Student Association).

The second day

The second day began with a talk show with the Outstanding Students or Mapres. They are Annisa Shakira, Thackla, and Rafi Zandrabumi Sugandi.

New students showed high enthusiasm in asking the Mapres about the priority scale in the world of lectures and so on. They also received an explanation about mental health delivered by Adkesma Mental Health.

The event continued with an introduction session for each study program at FISIP UPNVJ through a talk show entitled “Dive Into Your Major.” The introduction started from the Communication Science study program, then continued with International Relations, Political Science, Information Science, until the presentation of the new study program, Film, Television and Media Studies by each head of study program.

After getting to know each study program, new students are introduced to the Student Study Group or KSM at FISIP UPNVJ. In order, the KSM are EOS (English of Siloence), COMIC (Community Islamic Center of FISIP), FPCI (Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia Chapter), PROTOKOLER, FIBER PRODUCTION, FOURTYFIVE RADIO, FOP (Frame of Photography), and FIVE TV.

Entering the final session, the best group and best mentor awarding session was presented, which was continued with joint documentation. As the closing of the 2024 FISIP UPNVJ PKKMB series, the new students were entertained by the appearance of guest star, Raissa Anggiani.
