UPNVJ to Host 2024 Ristekdikti Belmawa PKM Award

HumasUPNVJ - After going through the Student Creativity Program (PKP2) Progress Assessment period for 2 weeks, UPN “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) together with the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) held the Student Creativity Program (PKM) Award, on Monday (19/08/24).

In the process, PKM 2024 involved 459 State and Private Universities throughout Indonesia, 3,520 PKM teams with 10,560 students who presented proposals and completed PKM outputs.

The current PKM outputs include Reports, Products and Social Media, which currently record 100,000 educational contents uploaded by students and 2.1 million viewers on social media.

According to Anter Venus, Chancellor of UPNVJ, this activity is very useful for inspiring and motivating as well as triggering new innovations from students.

"For us, this activity is not only inspiring and motivating but this is a big event involving hundreds of state and private universities and there are 3,520 proposals that passed. Today we will convey that there are 8 types of awards that will be given," explained Venus in her speech at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium.

On this special occasion, Belmawa Director Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Suning said that this PKM activity received a positive response as seen from the increasing number of proposals submitted by students each year.

“College graduates are required to have academic knowledge, thinking skills, management skills, and communication skills. Lack of any of these four skills/proficiencies can lead to a decrease in the quality of graduates”

“Synergy will be reflected through the ability of graduates to quickly find solutions to the problems they face. Thus, the thoughts and behaviors shown by students will be creative (unique and useful) and constructive (can be realized). Students' creative thinking and innovative acting abilities can be channeled through various student activities. Therefore, the Directorate of Belmawa, Directorate General of Diktiristek initiated the Student Creativity Program (PKM),” said Prof. Suning on his occasion.

He also did not forget to express his gratitude for the success of this year's PKM agenda where UPNVJ was the host.

"Thank you to the host, UPNVJ, for their assistance in deploying 74 hosts and co-hosts with extraordinary supporting infrastructure. We also express our deepest gratitude to the Head of the Student Work Team, the Person in Charge of the KMBK Work Team and fellow staff, the committee and thank you to the UPNVJ Youtube Public Relations Team as a broadcasting media for the implementation of PKP2 as a step to spread education through PKM for the successful implementation of PKP2 and PKM Award activities," he said.
