HumasUPNVJ – In an effort to improve the quality of education towards international standards, the Quality Assurance and Learning Development Institute (LPMPP) of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) held a sharing session today (07/11).
This activity was attended by a number of officials such as the Chancellor, Head of LPMPP, and Head of the International Affairs Office, lecturers, and administrative staff of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, with the presence of a special guest speaker, Professor Madoka Fukuoka from Osaka University, Japan.
The sharing session moderated by the Head of LPMPP Satria Yudha Wijaya, SE., MS., Ak., aims to formulate strategies to improve the quality of learning in accordance with international standards, as well as integrating the best methods that have been adopted by leading universities in the world such as Osaka University.
The event was opened by the Rector of UPNVJ, Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm. In his speech, Dr. Anter Venus expressed his high appreciation for Prof. Madoka's willingness to share knowledge and experience related to the implementation of international education standards. "We greatly appreciate the presence of Professor Madoka who provided the opportunity to learn about the teaching experience and academic culture at Osaka University. This is an extraordinary opportunity for the management team at UPNVJ to learn and broaden their horizons. We hope that through this activity, UPNVJ can emulate and implement the quality of higher education like that at Osaka University," he said.
Professor Fukuoka shared his teaching experience at Osaka University. As a lecturer studying cultural anthropology with a focus on Indonesian culture, he shared stories about how understanding local culture can enrich the learning process and improve the quality of education.
He also shared insights into educational practices at Osaka University, particularly in terms of quality assurance and research-based curriculum improvement. He emphasized the importance of an outcome-oriented approach to students as the center of the learning process.
Participants followed the sharing session with great solemnity by listening to the explanation of the teaching methods he applied and how the academic culture at Osaka University encourages innovation and collaboration. The Head of LPMPP UPNVJ certainly expressed his gratitude to Professor Fukuoka who has provided a new perspective in efforts to improve the quality of education.
It is hoped that from the results of this discussion, UPNVJ can formulate innovative strategies that will be implemented in the near future to support better educational transformation in the era of globalization.
