UPNVJ Pencak Silat UKM Wins 26 Medals at Magelang Tournament 2024

Public Relations of UPNVJ - Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta UPNVJ has again received a proud achievement from the Student Activity Unit (UKM) Pencak Silat Veteran Jakarta (PSVJ), which managed to bring home 26 medals at the Magelang Tournament Pencak Silat Championship on Sunday, November 24, 2024.

In this prestigious event, UKM PSVJ won 3rd Overall Champion in the Adult/College Category at the 2024 Magelang Tournament Pencak Silat Championship. The total medals won were 26 medals consisting of 7 gold, 7 silver, and 12 bronze.

In her report, the Chair of UKM PSVJ Aneesha Diaz Ramadhini said that the event was attended by a number of universities from various regions in Indonesia.

"We are very proud of this extraordinary achievement. The achievement of Third Overall Champion in the Magelang Pencak Silat Tournament 2024 is not just a trophy or medal, but a reflection of the team's long journey in preparing themselves for a competitive competition," said Aneesha.

“Every medal won represents the sacrifice, dedication, and incredible hard work of every team member. The process towards this competition was certainly not easy. We underwent a series of intensive training, built togetherness, and continued to hone our technical and mental abilities. During the preparation, every team member learned to support each other, share experiences, and grow together,” he added.

Regarding support from the university, Aneesha said that UPNVJ gave a lot of appreciation to UKM PSVJ by providing funding from team preparation to participating in the event.

"UPNVJ has so far given very good appreciation and support to UKM PSVJ. One form of support is providing financial assistance for preparation and participation in various competitions. This support is not only material, but also reflects the university's commitment to developing student potential in the field of achievement sports," explained Aneesha.

"Our hope for the future is that the university can continue to provide more comprehensive support to UKM PSVJ to encourage athletes to continue to develop their abilities and achieve the highest achievements," he hoped.

With all forms of support that have been given, Aneesha expresses her deepest gratitude to UPNVJ.

"Our commitment is to continue to carve out brilliant achievements and make the university's name famous, both nationally and internationally," he concluded.
