HumasUPNVJ - The National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta held a Marching Agility Competition as part of the National Defense Festival on Saturday, November 30, 2024. In this activity, the State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) 15 Jakarta won the General Champion.
The MAN 15 Jakarta (B) team not only won the highest title, but also won awards in various categories, such as Main Champion 1, Best Marching Troop (PBB) 1, and Best Danton 1.
The Chief Executive of the 2024 National Defense Festival, Ns. Fiora Ladesvita, M. Kep., Sp. Kep. MB., explained that LKBB is one of the first activities organized by the National Defense Study Center.
"The purpose of holding this LKBB is to foster a spirit of nationalism and patriotism, build strong characters, and of course instill a spirit of defending the country," said Fiora.
"Participants in this LKBB are high school, vocational school, and MAN students throughout Jabodetabek, plus participants from Cilacap. Thanks to the hard work and smart work of the entire committee, this LKBB runs smoothly," he continued.
M. Ikhsan Amar, M.Gz., LKBB Activity Equipment Coordinator, also appreciated the success of this competition. "The Marching Agility Competition is a very positive activity because it is able to form the character of discipline, responsibility, and teamwork," explained the lecturer of the UPNVJ Nutrition Study Program.
Ikhsan added that this activity is also a place to instill the spirit of nationalism and love for the country. By training uniformity of movement, agility, and togetherness, this competition is not only a competition, but also a learning platform to build an orderly attitude and a sense of togetherness.
In addition, Ikhsan also explained that UPNVJ as the main organizer has a moral responsibility to continue to instill the values of national defense.
"Defending the country is indeed the main characteristic of UPNVJ. As a campus that has historical roots in the nation's struggle, the values of defending the country are highly emphasized in every aspect of academic and non-academic activities," he added.

* 3rd Runner-up: MAN 16 Jakarta
In addition to LKBB, the 2024 National Defense Festival also presents various other competitions, such as the Poster Competition, Essay Competition, and Batik Design Competition which are participated by students from various regions in Indonesia. The announcement of the winners will be officially made on December 7, 2024.
This activity is expected to continue as an effort to foster a spirit of love for the homeland, strengthen unity, and build the character of a strong and integrated young generation.
